Beside the fact that some software are STILL not supporting it, what do people have against webp ?
This is the right way to read this
I’d think these people probably make up a single number digit of the amount of games bought and never played.
It would be interesting to have a breakdown of which games werr bought and never played. How many of them were gifts ? What’s the share by rating ? Even better : When were the copies the most bought but never played ? This could bring up some interesting partterns.
Indeed very cool, but also quite disturbing the more you learn about less common wasps…
Probably read my comment a little fast but that’s okay. This fucking sucks, I hope we get out of this chat control nonsense at some point, otherwise decentralised and self hosted services and messaging apps will have to be the way to go.
So, not in favor of privacy… Fucking amazing…
Not sure what Jo listens to but I recognized myself in his description.
You can lookup Sewerslvt (Mr.Kill Myself) for an exemple. I also listens to :
Full disclaimer : I’ve only ever used stalwart. Started with it and had no reason to change.
Been using it for about a year as a mail server for my services.
The set up is simple, configuration can be done through the webui or the conf files.
Creating users, mails, aliases etc is very straight forward.
Everything is pretty much painless, the documentation has almost everything you might need.
You can also configure automatic cert renewal.
Something else I really like is that when you add a domain (you can have multiple) it also gives you the DNS configuration to add to your DNS server.
Honestly I’d say it’s a solid choice. On my side it’ll be part of futur projects where a mail server is needed.
If it’s not another name for it, it’s definitely very close to the Overton Window.
Thank you for added context ! As long as there are alternatives to Messenger chat i think it’s okay to have it.
The image email has is the one if an old school slugish administration, probably the one physical mails had when emails came around.
When I send an email to anyone, be it a company or an individual, I expect a reply in the next few days. But in chat I’m expecting a reply in a couple of hours. So I’d be much more inclined to a conversation via chat given the option.
Also I’m not certain my experience with younger people and email is representative, but from what I’ve seen younger generations are not the most at ease with email.
I think what’s lacking here is the choice. Messenger is more appealing to a vast amount of people, but to some it might be the opposite, and those people need an lternative.
Yes it’s a shame and I wish it was done another way, but also what alternative do they have ?
I’m gonna be the devil’s advocate here and say that if your goal is to have people reach out, you want to make it as painless as posible . The majority of the population has or had a facebook / messenger account making the process to start a chat a simple as a click in most cases. If people had to download a thrid party app or register on yet another plateform, they would probably not start a new chat.
With the recent events this makes it even more urgent to move away from meta products, but the EU being as big as it is, this will take some time…
Thanks that’s good to know :)
I just read a bit about it and it sounds quite interesting with the community aspect of it all. I’ll give it a deeper look later, thanks !
AI users implies they are deployed and managed by the a company and can be configured to push ideas and agendas.
This is quite a big problem imo…
Hell yeah ! Didn’t know they had a nb option, that’s cool :)
Thanks !
X ? Is that neutral then ?
This is poetry.
I find this baffeling. Multiple people, on different topics did disagree with his campaigns promises, and voted for him against their best interest. (Farmers for exemple) Their justification ? “He won’t do it”. Are you telling me you are voting for someone who promises to do things, in the hope that he does all the other things but the one that would negatively impact you ? REALLY ?!
