Most of the apps rely on contributors to provide supported locations. I was wondering if a dumb app where you provide the GTFS zip url of your city would be useful. Could work if you stay in your city a lot
e.g. most of what you see on https://www.transit.land/map#3.46/47.78/12.46 is GTFS (hopefully public urls)
Read the The rollout of Login 2.0 for our customers se tion in the linked post
I think they resell https://www.open-xchange.com/ so they were dependent on them accomodating Keycloak (identity solution used by mailbox)
I don’t know which one is it a replacement for, but I like https://www.europeancorrespondent.com/ for their quick summaries about what is happening across Europe
They are mostly e-mail based (weekly or daily, split into north, central, eastern, western Europe that you cna opt in) but you can read it on their website also if you want.
EDIT: Also https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/USB-C-wall-mount-100-Watt-EU-Power-Plug_1.tuxedo#gallery says assembled in Germany
When buying a domain name you can also consider buying one that’s controlled by a non-US registrar. e.g. .dev is controlled by Charleston Road Registry which is Google-related. Same for .com which is controlled by Verisign. Unfortunately certain TLDs have an easier time with spam filters. Alternatives are of course .eu,.ευ,.ею or your local TLD like .pl (Poland) which is likely to be controlled by some nation wide IT authority in your country.
It’s no big deal but a domain is a commitment, since if you stop renewing it it gets bought out by some shady company.
In the video you can see the plug body is not flush with the rest of the charger when it’s folded, but still pretty interesting. I’m on the fence whether I should get it - it’s pretty big - the chinesium Baseus charger I have is smaller still I think
I’ll bite the top voted post - this is not the right mentality to have. OP just bought from an EU company and wanted to post to our community, shouldn’t we be a bit more encouraging? The EU consumer electronics industry simply isn’t there yet for the charger case - see my other post
Good on you for at least using an European company. Finding the manufacturer making everything from start to finish in Europe can be exhausting. I was interested and I’ve found https://en.recable.eu/products/usb-a-usb-c-30-watt-charger - still made in China but the company is German. This is also the first foldable EU plug charger I’ve seen. The cables they make are handmade thus expensive, but I like the message: moving the production burden from overseas to back home.
For others, there is also the probaby-made-in-china-but-at-least-by-a-eu-bcorp Fairphone Dual-port 30W charger or the Pinepower - sadly with NA adapter
I’m wondering how hard Poland will fight to keep BLIK. The largest bank PKO BP left European Payment Initiative at the time that Wero was supposed to be a competitor to the US card payment duopoly rather than PayPal.
Great for use on my phone when I want to use public/airport wifi
If you just want the tunnel encryption you can try hosting a VPN on your own home network. It’s what I do since I don’t need to spoof my location.
You are asking in the piracy community so I’m assuming you’re also using it to torrent (which a home VPN won’t help with) but you didn’t specifiy so I’m not sure
I don’t run a community but enjoy reading those recap threads. Community building isn’t something people think about but should
For dressier pants “#menswear”: Berg&Berg (buy only on 40%-50% off), Poszetka.com (suits are Chinese but rest should be PL), PT Torino, Zanella, Rota Pantaloni
There’s also Benevento for custom but they have a bad reputation of fulfilling orders for months
Did you try the new 2FA experience they have in beta? https://mailbox.org/en/post/beta-program-starts
Just turn on the mailbox beta in the account settings and you can get regular TOTP when logging into the webui
Hate to be that guy but Euro what, apples, oranges? You can’t join a currency. Did you mean eurozone? You have a degree in journalism right?
Closest I’ve seen was rooting a printer via a security exploit
Isn’t Volla’s hardware coming from Gigaset? Gigaset makes made in Germany phones but recently was acquired by a Hong Kong company
