Using antibiotics for preventative care seems like a bad idea. It contributes to the problem of antibiotic resistant bacteria. And it has side effects, like wiping out your gut microbiome.
I’d he curious to know how many people were getting syphilis in the first place. Like, if 50% of people were getting syphilis before, that would mean 50% of people would be taking the antibiotic for no benefit whatsoever.

Given that elections are the defining feature of a democracy, I think it would be prudent to wait until after the mid term elections to start proclaiming the demise of American democracy. Granted, the Republicans are trying their best with mass disenfranchisement, but it remains to be seen how effective they will be.
A lot of people here are happy to see others lose a freedom that they themselves were never going to exercise.
