In my example, obviously correct input is filtered out, leaving only potential errors. It takes much less effort to upload a sheet and give criteria and instructions than to manually look through everything (though, granted, you can probably come pretty far with just ctrl+f too).

There are things LLMs are good at, but they’re just a tool like any other.

I do use it quite often in my work. I just downloaded an Excel worksheet with all standard mailtexts (I work at a company offering courses), about 500x3. I gave it a list of criteria they should follow, and made it find those that didn’t. This worked pretty well. And it can work pretty well so long as you’re in control and you don’t take the result as truth.

That’s beside the obvious privacy issues, obviously. I hardly ever use LLMs outside of work (though when I do, I like to run models locally).

To be honest, the whole ‘first population group x’ thing comes across as very American to me. As a gay guy, I’m glad not much of a point is made about it in the Netherlands.

Replying to your comment again to say the cable worked. I could buy this exact cable, and my OpenSUSE Leap/KDE computer now does indeed work with 4k60hz on my TV.

Sadly, the processor isn’t really up to the task. But it was a bit of a shot in the dark anyway, I pretty much just hoped it’d work. But 1080p does do well, and on YouTube I generally watch 1080p.

I’ll try xfce next to see how that runs.

OpenSUSE Leap

It seems to be the other way around. I reinstalled Gnome yesterday to test the HDMI 1.3 cable thing, and XDG_SESSION_TYPE is Wayland. And I’m pretty sure my KDE install didn’t have Wayland.

Looking online I only see G4 (and maybe later) ones. But thanks for the tip.

I don’t mind spending another €20. I’m pretty happy with my little computer costing only €100, including RAM and SDD.

Oh, also I am pretty sure HDMI 1.3 does not do 4k at all. Either 1080 or 1440p was the spec limit.

I didn’t think so either, but in Gnome it (at least this cable) did, like I said. I could easily tell and it said so in the settings.

I played Wolfenstein 3D at a friend’s house as a kid. It made me sick exactly like Minecraft does.

I’ve never had any issue playing CoD, Medal of Honor or any other fps, it seems to specifically be this kind of first person in a boxy environment.

But I might try it again.

Did you have view bobbing in 2012? That’s probably about the last time I tried playing.

I figured it were just the 2D/3D environments. Wolfenstein 3D and Doom make me nauseous as well.

Minecraft. I love building things, and I especially love the idea of building things you can walk through in first person. I also loved the little of it I did play. Sadly, it makes me incredibly nauseous and gives me a headache after about half an hour of playing.

I’m sadly not happy with my PocketBook InkPad 4.

My PocketBook developed a crack near the charging port very soon after I got it. I got into contact with the company, and they handled it well, but I some time back saw it had developed a crack there yet again. Clearly it’s a structural issue.

The software is also mediocre at best. If you read pdfs, there’s this really weird issue where it fails to register long presses, but only in landscape mode. It simply stops very soon after the first press, so panning and pinch-to-zoom don’t work. I tried both pdf readers (it has two if I remember correctly) but it doesn’t matter. I also got into contact with PocketBook over this, and they were very receptive and seemed to want to understand and fix the issue, but it’s been more than a year now and it still isn’t fixed.

There’s also a minor (but to me major) graphical flaw when reading epubs, where the top margin is often ignored, meaning the text begins at the very top of the page. It annoys me, especially considering this is an expensive device developed specifically for reading epubs.

My main reason for picking PocketBook was that it supports lots of file formats, but, needless to say, I wouldn’t buy a PocketBook anymore.
