  • Hell my home server is a i7 4700. It’s a solid experience, though it is missing a few nice to haves these days. I have three Linux desktops in the house, i7 6700. One dell one lenovo and one HP. The Dell and Lenovo I have no need or desire to replace them for the little amount of gaming, etc. I do. They have decent graphics cards since I do 3D modeling. RX 580 and NV 1050.

The HP, I don’t know if there’s legitimate hardware failing somewhere on it, or if it’s just HP suckage. I have a little power HP Elite Book with an AMD processor and APU on it, and that thing is awesome. But this little business tower was struggling with Windows 10 before they killed it off. It’s better with Linux, but it’s still a shadow of the other two similarly-spect systems. Who knows.

When going for older hardware, though, my biggest recommendation is to don’t get the low end. Go for something higher. A similarly specced i7 Perfectly offer a significant performance boost over the i5. If someone gave me an i3 I could find a use for it. But I would never buy one.

  • A quote by Robert E Howard’s fictitious character. His parents slaughtered before him. Then taken in by their killers. Gaslit and trained to become an unthinking murderer. A bit too on the nose to be tongue in cheek.

Stalin absolutely was a monster, like Andrew Jackson or Hitler. Definitely not someone to be lionized, praised or joked about.

People being the enemy of the government is natural as breathing. A government that turns its people into the enemy is unconscionable and should not stand.

I will say this about Conan though. He grew as a character, despite that.

  • You would have had to have made a substantive claim for me to fail to address it. Let’s see what you did. Oh! You created caricatures/strawmen in order to attack the messenger. Not remotely addressing anything of substance I said. And then when clapped back, you used your superpowers of projection. Could you be any more disingenuous? Probably but that’s still not a good thing.

  • Honesty, China only recently regained control of Hong Kong. Having not heard much about what ultimately caused it. Outside the complete lack of sensors and alarms. I could have dismissed it as a possible pre existing situation. But as always, the CCP continues to bully and behave guilty.

I mean, Jesus fucking Christ, this is a horrible tragedy. And right now, everyone’s heart is going out to all the victims and those who’ve lost. But the CCP and local related governments are so incompetent and oppressive. They can’t even take what could be a reasonable win for them and actually help the people they’re supposed to be serving. Attacking the victims more instead. Really makes you wonder how many more tall ticking time bombs there might be. Throughout Hong Kong or the rest of China.

  • Saying the CCP violates human rights, is unequivocally true and factual. It’s also inflammatory. There’s nothing wrong with inflammatory speech. And biased policing of it destroys bridges and builds rightful resentment.

My government is also currently involved with similar violations. And I’m not going to let them police my language either. Forcing us to use language that favors them or makes light of their atrocities. Good governments don’t do that. Inflammatory actions justify inflammatory language. Fuck what trump or the CCP thinks.
