That’s the weasel word that lets the right know exactly what he means but still able to pretend like it isn’t what he means.
It’s easy to talk about how people on food stamps should just cook healthy meals… when you have a house, with a kitchen, and a fridge, and aren’t working 3 jobs, and don’t have kids that are bombarded with ads for sugar coated sugar ………………………
It’s just another way to punish the poor.
I undervolted my 5800X3D and 9800X3D and that helped with temps a lot.
I never undervolted my GPU, I generally go the other way with it. My 4080 lost the silicon lottery, couldn’t get any more out of it. Not sure if I won it with my 5080 because a lot of people seem to be having large gains, but I got my boost clock to to a little over 3 GHz and a +1GHz to the memory.
So I have a reason to sell my 4080 to my friend at the discount friend price. They got a 4080 for $700 and I got a 5080 for ~$700.
Newegg has gotten some 5080 stock around 4:30 PST the past few days. They’re only in stock for a few minutes so mash F5 and buy whatever is in stock and figure out the rest after checkout. Most are bundled with a PSU, but the ones I’ve seen aren’t crap PSUs they’re trying to get rid of like the 40 launch. https://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/nvidia/rtx5080/full_history/
I manage to get a 5080 at launch with a bundled PSU, then sold the PSU and my old 4080.
“win” a nuclear war…
I believe it’s 8 hours within a save. But you can just start a new game.
I think a really cool strategy game idea would be a logistics themed game
Have you tried Factorio? The demo is free, basically the full game just with an 8 hour time limit. for reference I have over 1k hours in it.
I mean the computer that connects to the TV. The file server and jellyfin server are virtualized on a different server.
so we can win next time
Assuming we get a next time. There’s a non-zero chance we never get anything beyond sham federal elections from now on. They own the supreme court, and the supreme court has shown it doesn’t give a fuck.
I like the idea of Bazzite, but the release cycle is rough for me. I’m running it on my HTPC, a thing i just want to work, and it feels like half the time I sit down to use it, some update broke something with Jellyfin. Rolling back updates is pretty easy, but that’s 5 or 10 minutes of futzing isn’t great. I’ll be switching back to mint sometime soon.
I think it will improve with time, and HTPC isn’t 100% their jam, and Jellyfin is a flat pack… so my use case isn’t ideal.
Best $500 I ever spent.
Assign a guardian and get notified in real time with an email and text message when a loved one is at risk.
That actually sounds useful… the associated image kinda made me giggle at how fake it looks but the idea is really good.
Youtube is blocking large/public instances of Invidious, not all instances.
Can we please not do the click bait/rage bait thing here?
Pretty sure that was by design…
Only illegal if the maternity leave was the reason, and it can be shown to be the reason. Over 200 people were also laid off at the same time. I have no doubt bungie added them because of the maternity leave, but it’s gonna be really hard to show in a court of law.
Bungie’s layoffs have been devastating. 220 jobs were eliminated yesterday, while other jobs had been shifted over to PlayStation Studios.
Sadly it’s all but impossible to show their layoff was because of maternity leave and not just because they were ‘part of the layoff’…
Hope there’s a paper trail adding them to the list of layoffs because of the maternity leave, but I doubt they’d be stupid enough to put it down on paper.
The bigger question is can we get the new candidate on the ballot in all 50 states.
Glass blocks UVA pretty well but not UVB.
The tinting I have on my windows produces a very noticeable difference as to how much the window sill heats up. Without blocking too much visible light.
