He hasn’t innovated for shit. He buys other people’s stuff, renames it and takes credit for it. Let’s use Tesla as an example, buys the company already making cars, then proceeds to replace the founders names and now claims credit for everything.

I dunno I have done a lot of work to cleanse my home of all of that. I have a pi hole for DNS blocking, I use Firefox with AdBlock on both desktop and mobile, I choose to not use ad riddled apps like TikTok or Instagram (fuck Facebook). I have a VPN which I use for most everything. My home is pretty ad and corporate free. As it should be. Granted I’m pretty tech savvy so none of this was hard for me but I could see my mom having problems.
They can put a robots.txt file in their root structure which can tell robots (AI scrapers) to ignore that website. However that only works on robots which follow that rule, it’s self enforced so it’s a crap shoot of it’ll be followed. Otherwise to be honest there isn’t a lot a public facing website can do to avoid being scraped. Maybe put up a captcha on every page?
Had this happen recently with Rogue Trader, it was taking so long to load the assets and stuff I alt-tabbed then came back later and stared at the screen for a good long time before I saw the, “press any key to continue…”
