I’m GenX and have voted since I could. By the time I was in my early 30s I liked by politics like my music - independent. I don’t usually vote by party but by candidate history and ideals.

I’m way the fuck left though. I support left parties like the NDP, but I’m not registered with them. I recently voted for the Liberal dude over NDP because I thought the NDP running was a serious twit.

I don’t think I’d ever voted conservative.

One if the reasons I really enjoyed the original Blade Runner is the “hero” is always getting his ass kicked. He’s supposed to be the best, but the first Replicant we see him encounter in the field would have killed him. The only reason he lived is she got spooked by people coming in the room and ran off. My old account was banned from reddit a bit over a year ago. I don’t remember what I said that caused it, but it was anti-Musk.

I used to contribute a ton to that site, but after the ban I didn’t bother making a new account. I just leeched the site using old.reddit and had ad-block on. I found my use was reduced over the last few months because it’s just recycled posts these days.

I’m not creating an account just to browse old.reddit and see memes from 3 years ago.

I call people in their 40s and 50s boys and girls.

I think they’ll break up into 2 or 3 new countries. They’ll be busy infighting for a while but I think the end result will be better in the long run. The California and New York sections will be ready for business while the crazy MAGA Floridaland can be mostly ignored.
