Big fan of my Kobo as well. I wish the software was swappable, if just so I could try other stuff out, but Koreader is alright when I don’t want the default setup.
I’m a lonely smut writer in Portugal! Feel free to say hello! :3

It’s shit like this that would make me walk RIGHT into the ring of mushrooms and give them my name or whatever.

This would be enough to “radicalize me”, but I don’t think it’s all that radical to be against a system that treats people this way.

For what it’s worth, I’ve heard this as well, but never seen it spelled before. My grandad and dad used to use it to essentially mean “a ridiculous amount”.

Perfect! Okay, first I’ll eat you, and then you can eat me. :3

Genuinely, this was way more interesting than it has any business being.

Ideal date, we smooch and cuddle and then you kill me. 🥰

Is there an article link I’m missing, or is it just a title and spooky picture?

That’s where I followed on as well, but it kept seeming like I was finding mixed results on the articles. I don’t know enough about which studies are funded by which groups, and I’m pretty sure I’m finding biased stuff. It’s okay, though, I’m not asking you to look things up for me, I just was curious if you had some kind of insight into the industry or not.

I’m having a bit of trouble understanding what it’s saying about how bad it is, but I get the impression less is just better always? Either way, though, you can for sure swap out Nutella with anything else vaguely in the same ballpark. What makes the sandwich so good is the cheese and vaguely chocolate flavor. If you do try something else out and decide it’s good, please let me know!

If the position’s open, I’m there! But alas, I am a rat for free at this time. :3

Is palm oil bad?

Honestly, if you add salami, I would say bump up the jam you put on it, too. The extra umami makes room for more sweet. I bet this absolutely rules.

I’m gonna catch hate for this, but I don’t care. I have a thing that physically looks awful, but also seems conceptually awful.
Sometimes, if I have the money and I wanna get a little treat, I’ll buy a block of cheese, Nutella, and bread, and make a Nutella and cheese sandwich. I do not know why or how I got to the point where I ate it, but I did and I love it.
Usually, I’d get like a pecorino romano cheese, cut a couple slices of dark (full grain) bread, and just paste it in place with Nutella, and that would be a little desert for me. If I have a lot of cheese on there, I might add raspberry jam (not too much or it gets waaaaay too sweet).

I just got into a habit. I listen to the same few playlists, sit with my coffee in the same chair, keep distractions away from me (out of arm’s reach) and I write. It was hard to keep up for a while at first, but now it’s not so hard even on ‘off days’. Usually, I just turn those into revision days. I also take breaks so I don’t burn out, toooooooo hard.

I would get into fanfiction, both reading and writing. Places like Ao3 are so batshit insane, that they sort of force you to recalibrate creativity for yourself.
Just write for fun, don’t carry any baggage about turning it into something serious or long term. You’ll randomly get feedback to improve (some good and some bad) and soon you’ll recognize what you value in feedback and what you don’t.
You’ll also start recognizing stories that you like and that you don’t like. Use those moments as opportunities to really sit and figure out why you like and don’t like those stories. Imagine how you would improve them or write them differently.
Eventually, you’ll find that you have your own ideas, your own voice, and opinions on what makes a piece good or bad.
It’s decent. I’m not super stoked about not having a mobile app, but the stream/screen share works, the quality seems fine, and I generally like how it works. It feels pretty much like discord (if a bit buggy at points) but with more customization.
I haven’t gotten around to trying hosting my own server yet, but if it works basically like how the rest of the app works, I’ll be happy.

I don’t hear much about Montana, but this kinda strikes me as unexpected from them.
Oh shit. Didn’t he just do an interview thing where the guy asked him about retiring and his perspective on when he would “know” it’s the right time?
