Not this time, though.
Picture is out of the “Struwelpeter”, which is not part of Grimm’s collections.

6·21 hours agoNo, but took me only 20s or so to walk to the bath and take one.
Also 30 additional steps and a reset of the get-up-counter on my fitness watch, so was a welcome reason to leave the couch ;-)

7·1 day agoThe one before was 5+ years old when its hose broke.
Did not look great but still ok in the end.
Might just be limescale?

xkcd@lemmy.world•Can you power your computer by typing?English
11·3 days agol am a little disappointed as it didn’t dive into how to make it work nonetheless.
E.g. I am guessing the power needed to use my old mechanical typewriter at 120 key presses per minute (so 2 per second) based on needed force and travelled key distance to be in the 0.1W range.
Not a lot, but probably enough to power an efficient microcontroller with a small LCD display.I am convinced that with the right setup this could be actually working!

16·4 days agoIs this uncommon?
Expression is the same in German, even in the places with really good public transport: “Sollen wir den Bus nehmen?” - “Should we take the bus?”

2·4 days agoThat’s disgusting!
…
How was it?
Has quite probably the same root.
G-Wagon is short for “Geländewagen” which just means “offroad vehicle” in English.
That actually is very interesting!
I wonder if it is just a coincidence or if there is some kind of connection between the two…
l come from a farmers family in Germany.
I’ve known it from some equipment we used back in the 80’s or so :-)
Offroad?
(“Gelände” in German, so with a “G”)

Du hast in soweit recht, dass es sich bei genauerer Betrachtung eher nach toxischer Beziehung als nach Stockholm Syndrom anhört.
