Apollo for Reddit died. Came here as it was supposedly a better experience. Used to be super active and use Reddit for hours a day for nearly a decade, now I barely use this platform at all as it’s insufferable and tiny tbh. The Linux Cultism here is off the charts and cringe as fuck, the communities are tiny and spammy and bloat the All page, so I block users and communities every day, and it’s been a pretty mediocre experience here for the year I’ve used it. Reddit is ofc a crapshoot now so it’s not worth going back, so I just use this platform for maybe 5-10m a day and that’s all my social media browsing for the day. So Reddit dying and not being replaced with a decent alternative actually cracked my addiction for endless scrolling which is super nice.

The 3 H’s. When someone in your life comes up to you with a problem, you either figure out, or ask them; if they want to be Hugged, Heard or Helped.

A lot of the time when someone is venting at you, they just want to be heard and understood, and I’m the type of man to want to immediately fix the issue, and it’s a bit invasive and often off the mark, so I reign myself in and ask them if they want to be Hugged, Heard or Helped. More often than not, they just want to vent and don’t want me butting in with solutions to their issues.

So the next time someone confides in you, take a step back and analyse how you should respond going forward, it really helped me understand more.

Summoners War. Played for years, gave it up, got back into it recently. Very very good gacha game. Plenty of PvE to keep you coming and working towards something, plenty of great characters with awesome skins, TONNES of free stuff and 3-4 events running parallel at all times, booming community, and a very deep PvP scene if that’s your forte when you want to use the hard work you’ve done in PvE. Can recommend if you’re one for the gacha mobile games.

Oh my god! I 100%ed everything that was available in this game up until some tower where the game just said “hey, no more game, go away” and just wrote it off for half a decade as it seemed like it was abandoned, super stoked it’s actually hitting 1.0! Will absolutely 100% the whole game again, it’s actually so ridiculously good!

So, my partner is a strong duetan, and is has been a hindrance in her life for a long time, and she’s trying to get into a career right now that strongly involves colour.

We drove out of our way to “trial” a pair of the glasses, and during the Xmas period, we roamed a Kmart with them on, initially, she said she didn’t notice much difference, but as we roamed more, she said she could see more and more discrepancies, looking at colour palettes, oranges and greenblues. We rented them for half an hour, and she said she loved them, so I bought a prescription pair, and they should be arriving in 3 days. We’ve been super excited to get them, and hope they help with her life, they did cost quite a lot, but we do also have the option of returning them if we feel they don’t work as stated here. But I do believe her that they changed what kinds of hues and the distinctions she saw between them, so I’m still keeping my hopes up, despite watching this video damning them and enchroma to hell and back. I really want to believe they’ll help her out in her life and future career.

It’s wildly obvious if you grab a window and drag it around. Try having the settings on 60 and dragging it around when you change it to 165; it’s very glaringly obvious.

Great game! Finished plenty of runs myself, and never had a problem with their cosmetic battle passes, but this is a crazy good step in the right direction! I wish they would add more content though…I’ve beaten the same 3 final bosses far too many times to find it enjoyable anymore.

Trove and Wizard 101 are pretty predatory, but kids might not see it that way until they accidentally do, but you can see it right from the start.
