Exactly. That is my dilemma. I run CalyxOS, de-googled, but unfortunately pixels are the only phone supported in the US. I will be getting the 9a once it goes on sale.
ARRRRHHH!!!

I use RiMusic which is Google Music without the adds. You can get it via Fdroid with the IzzyOnDroid repos added. There is also Spotube for all platforms, also available on Fdroid. I haven’t had time to try this one out.
Theaters are a dying business. Wait until the largest theater conglomerate in the world has its notes come due in 2026, and yes, it is in debt for millions. Analyst predict if it declares bankruptcy it will be forced to close over 150+ theaters in the US alone.
So, a Bond streaming series then?
It is probably because they are creating their own Linux FireTV OS, moving off Android. Amazon and Google have always been at odds. It is the reason Amazon created their crappy App Store, because Google would not allow their app in their store. I think Amazon is further distancing itself from Google.
I have a Pixel 4a5G and it is still going strong with CalyxOS. In fact, they are about to release Android 15 for this device, which lost all its support from Google at 14. Using one of these open source, pro-privacy alternative OS’s is the only true way to degoogle your phone, so I would suggest buying a new or used unlocked Pixel phone. I will never go back to running on pure Google again.
It is not only BG3, it also happens in Skyrim SE, Fallout 4, nothing but Vulkan errors. I turn off Vulkan in Lutris and they run.
Some say the kernel is the issue, but I have tried a few different ones and same issue. I am at a loss. I am running Arch, AMD GPU.
Good job everyone!
I loved Wanted, that movie captured what it was like to work in a hive office environment with an equally horrific boss everyone pretended to like, also great action flick that bordered on a superhero movie.
I did an upgrade from 5.27 to 6.01 or whatever the latest is, and I had to go through themes and setting files and remove a lot of the old plasma 5 files. It is kind of a pain. I recommend doing a complete reinstall. I am sure some settings file from kde 5 is messing with your configuration. It is a pain, but probably the easiest in the long run.
Yeah, they don’t advertise it, but if you are on the forum, the devs let you know, especially if you need help with any GUI…“We don’t support…” Not saying the devs are bad, lovely people, but that is just their thing.
Love both of those distros, Endeavour is committed (their philosophy) to no GUI, only CLI commands, so keep that in mind. Garuda Gaming edition is the best gaming distro out there imo, handy GUI to configure everything, great privacy controls/browser. Manjaro should never be used, they hold back packages for “testing” which goes against Arch in general and can break AUR packages, thus your system. Another good Arch distro, minimal with optimized kernels, a privacy browser based on Firefox, is CachyOS. Those three I would recommend for Arch, besides Arch itself.
Same, never use their equipment if possible, cheaper and you are in control.
I have been meaning to cancel my Prime membership. Prices are high, shipping hardly gets anything to me on time. Who can find anything on Prime Video with their horrible interface? Not worth the price. Time to put on my pirate’s hat and save a buck.
Have you tried changing either your wifi router or computer/devices to use Ad blocking DNS? The two most popular ones are AdGuard DNS and NextDNS.
With that said, it is typically recommended to use add blocking add-ons in the browsers, etc, because the above DNS blocking options can break websites, etc.
KDE, ride or die.
Exactly, thank you.
Who asked for this? I also heard they are reshooting the next Capt America, which was almost complete and now moved from 2024 to 2025, to take out a new hero called Sabra, a zionist superhero who works for the Mossad (I am not kidding.) Gosh, I wonder why. Who green-lit this?
This movie was already catching heat because they went with Black Falcon as their next Capt America, instead of, or I don’t know, rebooting Steve Rodgers, the original Capt from decades of comics. This is why we can’t have nice things.
Not good numbers for Hollywood. Still proving my point, these figures are unsustainable for theaters to stay open.
I suggest installing EndeavourOS because it is pretty minimal, you can even select the option to not include EOS’s OS theming during the install process, so basically a bare install. Their installer also allows me to choose ext4 instead of the buggy BTRFS file structure. Then, after install and updating, I add the Chaotic-Aur repos. and do an update. Then I get the Garuda Linux repos installed. Why? Because they have lots of handy tools, gaming, power-daemen for both performance and power-savings (laptops) and a handy app for installing kernels, including the CachyOS kernels and their optimizations in the Garuda Settings Manager. If you don’t want ext4 file structure you can skip EOS/Chaotic-Aur and just download Garuda KDE light edition.
Else, get Garuda repos on your system by downloading ‘Garuda-update’ from here, and install with Octopi or CLI command, and then do a system update, then do ‘garuda-update’ in terminal which should pull in the garuda repos (say ‘yes’ when prompted to all the options to add repos.) Minimal system with lots of options to choose.
