Problem is that we waited 10 twara and got this. Doesn’t even compare to inquisition, feels like a VERY small game and the dialogue, story and combat is nor great. Not to mention there is no crafting and the game is very much clpawd and not open world like. Doesn’t even stand close to Inquisition, which I might add won fame of the year without live service.
+1 to this, you don’t have to activate. You get an activation watermark at the bottom right hand corner, not a big deal
I’m a huge dragon age fan but I agree this game is not like the others. The gameplay is very dragon age 2 like but its not fluid and feels choppy sometimes.
I’m playing a rogue and when I just want to hit a wooden crate my character jumps up and down and almost falls over edges… The tactical part of fighting in this game is not there, inquisition had it perfectly. I could pause the game, fill up potions, play as my other companions if I died. You can’t do any of that.
The dialogue seems very AI like, short conversations and the start of the game is very rough, cant tell if the tone is suppose to be serious or not. Bellara seems to be a quirky funny not so serious character but I can’t tell if I’m suppose to be serious or laugh, when the world is falling apart and she is making weird jokes and doesn’t seem serious at all.
The writing is bad, combat seems choppy and its more of a hack and slash game rather than having to be mindful of your company ions health, gear and abilities.
There is no crafting at all in the game, there are a set number of weapons that you just keep upgrading by getting points for completing quests… Its just not that fun, I loved going through quests and wondering what weapon I’ll pick up or what schematic I’ll pick up. Maybe I’m just an old fart but this game has not been what I hopes for.
I’m hugely disappointed in this game and it really leaves a big sour in my mouth after waiting since 2014 for this game…

This, my ssd randomly disappeared on my proxmox server January 1st so I had to start from scratch. Didn’t have any docker compose backups or lxc backups… I suppose this time I can do everything right now lol

I know the desktop, and mobile apps work without https, however I can’t remember if you can set it up via those apps?
I ran vaultwarden for a couple of years without q certificate, I just couldn’t log into my instance via the browser.
Start off small, get an old PC that has an i5or better that’s got vt-d support. start off with 8gb of RAM or more. Then throw proxmox on it and you are off to the races. It will save you a lot of money since you can run multiple virtual machines or lxc containers. This is how I started out, my proxmox host now has 26gb of RAM and its running very smoothly . i like opnsense as a router and firewall but its a little advanced but amazing, also get an access point and a switch and you can start building your network. You could also even run opnsense in a VM but that gets a little confusing but its an option.
Ah yeah I’m trying to move to podman for NPM and the access lists don’t work for some reason. On docker though it works very well
I’m running cloudflare and NPM, I did a DNS challenge to get my wildcard cert, then put in access lists so for my internal hosts only private IP address subnet can access them. I have my OPNsense firewall also redirect any of those internal hosts request back to my NPM host. I have everything internal with a valid https cert.
This is exactly why I don’t have graphene os, the irony of having to support google is too much for me call me paranoid but i also dont trust them with the hardware piece either lol. I’ve been running lineage os without gapps and its honestly great, updates and patches are every few weeks, super stable and awesome.
This is why I specifically pick phones that have custom ROM support. Then I don’t need to install gapps and I just use fdroid
I’m actually in the process of switching over from docker to podman. Its definitely a learning curve, ie. Setting up systems integration etc.
I do love it but its been a bit of a pain, for instance I’m still trying to figure out the errors I’m getting when trying to deploy my matrix and vikunja containers, I’m getting permission errors and can’t find dB errors. I k ow little about podman right now but I would definitely recommend it since it is open source and runs rootless by deafult.
I just switched over to using heroic launcher from lutris, its prettier and a smoother setup IMO. I have had issues as well installing some games from fitgirl, the install always failed. However they would install on windows just fine. So I did that then copied over the install files to my Linux hard drive and setup them up in heroic launcher.
I’ve only had to do this with 3 games from fitgirl, maybe I’m missing something but I could not get these 3 games to install on linux. This is why I keep a hard drive with windows installed on it :)
Oh man I’ve been waiting so long for this!! These are the best games I’ve ever played, they just keep getting better, inquisition was a masterpiece and I’m expecting the same with this game!

Use the jellyfin kodi addon works very smoothly. I’ve been using it for two years and love it. I replaced all my chromecasts with kodi. It even has the approval of my wife.
This the main reason I switched from traefik, I can have certificates on all my internal stuff and not just on my docker host. I personally love NPM but maybe I’ll give NPMPlus a try, I have never heard of it.
