  • You’ve removed Samsung apps that include stuff to optimize touch and audio among others. Unless you feel that touch/display/audio is bad/wrong then I imagine you can ignore the log spam.

These two are the probable apps to reactivate to remove the Press Timeout Func spam:
com.samsung.android.game.gos (Game Optimizing Service) and com.samsung.android.lool (Device Care)

The cs35l43 is an Audio Amplifier (https://www.cirrus.com/products/cs35l45) so I imagine you have some “Samsung Sound” app or similar that you removed.

The SDE_0 mipi_clk_timing things point towards missing some display frequency info, so if you feel as if the display update rate acts weirdly then that could be the reason. No idea what samsung app you need to get it working agian.

  • I can agree that an old and buggy version of a game is no fun. But that is as true of Windows versions as Linux versions.

You seem to have much worse luck when starting linux native games than I though. I have no problem with Factorio, Oxygen Not Included or Kingdoms and Castles which I think are the only linux native games I got installed at the moment.
The thing I find much more frequently is that a game released on GOG doesn’t receive the patches and dlc that the developer release on Steam. I always have to verify that a developer actually support their GOG release as well as Steam before buying.

  • Honestly the thing I feel that kids have in their corner that is really great is a lack of experience.
The kind of awe that I felt when I started up Starcraft or Diablo for the first time just isn’t there now, I have too many reference points from earlier games to get that “new and awesome”-feeling from most games anymore.
