I’m very new to Linux, and the two distros that seem the most appealing are Fedora, possibly Nobara, and openSUSE. Do you know why Fedora gets recommended so much more often over openSUSE? I’d like to narrow down my choice between these two. If it helps, I’d like to use KDE, and I game a lot.

I believe they meant Rockstar puts their full focus on gtao because of the revenue brought in by micro transactions. Not that gtao is unplayable because of micro transactions.

I also feel this post doesn’t fit this community. Confusion and disagreement about what fits is unfortunate but very natural because it’s hard to define exactly what posts on this sub should be.

The owner once described this community as c/hmmm with text, and even though that should exclude this particular post, it still doesn’t really seem to fully encapsulate the feeling evoked by the majority of posts here. IMO, ideal posts to this community also invoke nostalgia and utilize surrealism.

My best guess is that this post accrued a substantial number of upvotes before being noticed by the community moderators. Then, because the community responded so well to the post, it was left up despite breaking the normal guidelines.

I’m conflicted because I like this post but also feel it does not fit this community.

I agree it’s easy now. For non-technical people who aren’t interested in tech, even that would be too much. They’re not building their own computers, and prebuilts almost always come with Windows. Going out of their way at all and learning to switch from Windows, which works fine for their needs, to something else doesn’t make sense to them.

It’s not broken. It’s indicating a left turn, but the left blinker looks like an arrow pointing to the right. That’s a mixed message. It’s meant to look like the Union Jack, but that caused mixed messaging so it’s a problem caused by mixed messaging.
