  • Oh I’m not disagreeing with you there. In this case, they were being brought in as a defendant for a wrongful death case. The probably realized there was some potential PR damage from considering invoking the Disney+ terms (rightfully so, fuck them), but I’m sure they weighed that against the liability of the wrongful death suit.

In the case of the video, I’d be surprised if they went after Robert, because I don’t see them gaining more from this case than they would lose in publicity. I could be wrong though, perhaps we’ll see!

  • In September of last year, the podcast Behind the Bastards did a two part series on right wing blogger Curtis Yarvin, his connections to Peter Theil, and his influence on JD Vance. I highly recommend these episodes for anyone who wants to know where this is all headed.

Yarvin has, for years, pushed the notion of RAGE (retire all government employees), and his dark enlightenment movement centers on dismantling democracy and installing a neo-feudalistic system of government in which oligarchs rule as kings.

This is not some crazy new proposal that will be ignored by the people in power. This is the endgame. The oligarchs and right wing fascists Trump has surrounded himself with have been pushing this for years, just waiting for their moment.

If you don’t think this is a big deal, then you probably won’t realize until it’s too late.

  • You said the Democrats, and I told you we’ve elected loads of Democrats and obviously do not have universal healthcare. You’ve also failed to mention a single Democrat we could have elected to get universal healthcare. Can you provide any justification for your claim that it’s the voters’ fault that we’re in this mess?

  • Yes, but I’m asking you to back up your argument:

Then the murderers would be the voters who consistently choose this system.

Then who should the voters have chosen? We’ve had many Democrats, but no universal healthcare. It’s not even part of their platform. Yes, they’re better than the Republicans by a country mile, but you said the voters chose this system, so who could we have voted for?
