  • Yeah i grew up with telephones too, its not the same thing. Memorizing a string of numbers is vastly different from remembering a truly random string, and if your passwords are just numbers then youre gonna get hacked at some point. Good luck though. Also every boomer that ever lived probably knew more phone numbers than you at one point but they all still have 12345 or some equivalent written on a sticky note somewhere so im not sure why you think that thats equivalent.

  • Your passwords definitely arent secure enough then. Unless you have a fucking eidetic memory. Its not just remembering passwords, its remembering which passwords go with what. I straight up dont believe you if you tell me you have 30 different completely random alphanumeric 15 character strings locked into your brain and can reliably remember which one goes with which. And if your passwords are less than that, or if you use the same password but with slight differences, or if you have some sort of ‘system’ youre just asking to be hacked. Just use a damn password manager.

  • I really doubt anything so profound crossed his desk thst you could in any way say that it was responsible for his ideas. He might have been influenced slightly by things he saw but he just as easily could have had those ideas triggered by some other stimulus. His brain just worked differently, it allowed him to see the patterns and numerical relationships that no one else could. Give me one example of some technology from the early 1900s that was so paradigm shifting that it could have influenced relativity? I guarantee almost every patent he saw was trash.

  • I mean sure, parents should be doing it but that doesnt mean the government also can’t. Im firmly against any kind of age verification laws that might come attached with it, but also would argue that social media has no value for kids under 15. It definitely shouldnt be normalized. If its banned some kids will still end up doing it, but if they cant use their own birthday to sign up and they cant post blatant pictures of themselves on their profile and not all of their friends are on it then it becomes a lot less desirable also. These sites never should have been allowing sign ups by children in the first place. Facebook and instagram require you to be 13 at least, which is good but 15 is better.

  • I used to work in the kitchen at a place that many fancy and non traditional puzzas, and had the opportunity to experiment a lot. Theres lots of good ideas mentioned but the main one i havent seen yet is Brie

You can pair it with lots of things, my favourite was 3 mushroom mix and a truffle honey drizzle. Some other good combinations include anything a bit sweet and savory/spicy. A spicy pear Chutney, mango, spicy red pepper jelly and prosciutto/bacon. Play around with it but brie is amazing on pizza. Id use like a quarter of the mozzarella i usually would and cut the brie into small pieces as it would melt a fair amount, and have little islands of it spread all over. Delicious.

Edit: another good one that comes to mind is a pierogi/potato bacon pizza. Potatoes can either be blanched and diced, sliced thin and fried like chips and added right before finishing cooking, or sliced thin and blanched like scalloped potatoes. Some scallions and bacon and a bit of creme fraiche to top is really nice also.
