Basically don’t shop for anything noncritical from yesterday until 02 Dec (Tuesday).
And try not to use credit cards for anything you do have to purchase.
(I think debit cards are ok)

I’m kinda wondering if that’s their primary intention even if these scumbags are probably pleased with such an outcome.
Maybe they sorted the list of degrees by repayment rate and labeled all the ones below a certain rate as ‘unprofessional’. Since women are still getting paid significantly less than men for the exact same work, they may have lower repayment rates which would show up like you’ve shown.
To be clear, either way, fuck these clowns.

I feel that part of the reason is the lack of any kind of 3rd-space. And that’s what churches are for some people. (I’m also not religious)
I’ve tried to find others that would want to open up a community makerspace but have had no luck.
(typo)

So if you don’t lie to make the numbers look good, you’re fired.
Just great. And to think I was skeptical of the government’s economic reporting before this bs.

Sounds good to me!
NY was the eleventh state in the US. We’d become the eleventh province of Canada, nice!

This is definitely worrisome.
But is it the end of the Constitution quite yet?
The Supreme Court hasn’t weighed in on the executive order trying to negate birthright citizenship, they said that lower courts couldn’t block EO’s at a national level.
Implicitly, their not commenting on the EO feels like they’ll let it stand when the case arrives, if they choose to hear it. Then I’d say the US Constitution is toast.
I’m an engineer, not a lawyer. I’d love to hear what someone more knowledgeable about this thinks.

Let’s try again.
Think carefully, surely you can see that two and two is five.
Don’t you agree?

Mastodon but not nearly as much as Lemmy.
Bookwyrm but not nearly as much as Mastodon.
I really wanted Bookwyrm to be more useful for me. But it’s really not geared towards what I want in keeping track of books. ymmv

Few people can focus enough to read.
I work in a technical field. In the past few years I’ve learned that interacting by email usually requires one-line sentences or bullet points, with any questions being numbered. No fluff, no secondary thoughts or possibilities. Keep it as minimal as possible.
It still fails to elicit a coherent response about half the time, but it’s the best I’ve found so far.
It didn’t use to be like this. But what’s to blame; screen addiction, microplastics, covid, increased stress, … ?

I’d be glad to:
Pack his bags tonight preflight…

Really? Only 13%?
Maybe it’s a lagging indicator? Maybe sales in China picked up? Maybe the numbers have been finessed?

Obligatory, #NotTheOnion

And the Dems are, mostly, still too safe. They need to start fighting while they still have a chance of stopping the insanity.
Step 1: Schumer needs to step down.
Reconsidering 4 (second nose)… Maybe you could cause a second nose to grow on others…? And if a few of us choose this, then we could form an unstoppable team, horribly disfiguring war criminals, oligarchs, and mimes everywhere!
But… no container is truly empty.
Usually they contain air, but even in space there’d be one or two molecules banging around inside.
You’d never see anything.
This.
Free gravel for life is OP! (probly gets nerfed in the next update)
I too assume it’s 7" from center of mass. So not even beyond the boundary of my body.

This is great news!!

We got ours just a week or two before seeing him for what he is. It sucks and we can’t afford to ditch the car.
I really think the people that work at Tesla have done a great job making a very affordable car that works well. I can only imagine that the disgust I feel towards the asshat and to the association with this car pales in comparison to what the people who designed and built it feel. 120,000 people work for Tesla.
I don’t see how, but it’d be better if we could separate the 13% shareholding asshat from the company rather than destroy it. It’s a shitty situation.
edit: by ‘affordable’ I’m looking at total cost of owership, which was significantly less than a new Prius. Also, I’m in a snowbelt, used cars are a bad idea here. (can ya feel the defensiveness?, ug)
I agree with her sentiment but she chose to use ticketmaster. WTH did she expect?
It sure looks hypocritical to me to voluntarily use them and then complain about it. Put your money where your mouth is, etc etc.
