According to the Apple Store app; if I trade in my 14 Pro Max 256gb they’ll give me $500 off. So if you imagine a newer phone plus higher storage it’s highly feasible this isn’t a mistake.
Edit to add context that my phone is in great condition
What do you get when you cross a bar of gold and a fish?
You ain’t gonna believe this….

Oh yeah I’m never logged into an account; so I when I see it, I see what it’s pushing as trending and popular. These days I use Freetube and only see what’s “recommended” by accident when I occasionally use YouTube on my iPad.
When I used to use an account I also didn’t see any fascist shit either, so at least that’s a way to avoid it!

Yeah I’ve been really annoyed with modern “news reporting” and this article is no different. The store went down for like, a few hours. It was no biggie. It’s frustrating to me how the news exaggerates headlines like “gamers angry as…”, “outrage as”, “fury as” etc. Like they’re telling people to be angry if they aren’t already; telling them they should be.
I’m not angry. It’s a massive achievement on Team Cherry’s part. A team of three launched a game so in demand that it bought a service ran by a major corporation to its knees. I think this happened in huge part thanks to them actually pricing the game reasonably. Massive props to them.

It’s absolutely social media to blame imo. 10 years ago they were only just starting with the aggressive algorithms we know today. This combined with the rise of TikTok and its own algorithm has lead to a resurgence of the right. I believe this was a direct response to how progressive we seemed to be getting in the 2010s. The wealthy right were getting scared. I occasionally accidentally see YouTube “recommendations” and it’s usually unhinged right wing shit with millions of views.

Wait, you mean this guy is real? I genuinely always thought it was a parody account…

Yeah that’s a good idea. Especially since you’ve played RDR2; you might find this lacking in quality and features in comparison since it’s a decade older.

I’ve mixed feelings on it. On one hand I feel the game is really overpriced given how old it is and how barebones the port is, and I feel 30 bucks is still a bit much.
On the other hand, if this is your first time playing the game, there IS a lot of content there. It’s a fairly big game to stick your teeth into. Ignoring its age and status as a port, I can see an argument for $30 being valid based on content. But I feel this should be its full price.
If I hadn’t already completed it on PS3, I’d buy it now at this price. I don’t think rockstar is likely to discount it further.

I have never felt so called out by a meme. Especially the bottom line. Well done OP 😂

Yepp doing Silent Assassain / Suit Only really adds the challenge back in where the handholding takes it away. It’s what I’ve spent most of my time with the game doing.
That said, thanks for your insight on having the guides turned off. It’s only just hit me I can always just turn it off and replay levels I’ve already done to see what I miss, if anything. So I’ll do that next time I play.

Oh I hear you, the new hitman games are far from bad, and I agree with you they are kinda a culmination of lessons learned in the previous games.
The main thing which bothers me is the handholding, where it comes up “mission story revealing” and then guides you. I’d love to at least pretend I’m working it out for myself. I understand you can turn that off, but I’ve also read online that doing so skips some story dialogue, would love it to turn out that’s wrong.
It’s also down to personal preference for me; I just happen to prefer some of the levels from the classic games. I also dislike the UI and general vibe of the new ones, how it feels like a live service. I appreciate my word choice of “superior” was overly strong in hindsight, I really meant it subjectively and was not trying to make a reaching claim. Both classic and new are very good, marketing and DRM aside.

Absolutely understandable. I didn’t get it that way purely because I personally get very anxious about viruses etc when it comes to sourcing games/software. But I did deliberately get a key off a grey market site to give them as little profit as possible.
I also hate how handholdy all the fun stuff is, it totally removes that element of working it out yourself which felt so good in the previous games. I haven’t tried freelancer mode yet, I’ll give it a go.

Yepp it’s pretty ridiculous. I purchased most of the game but still missed on 3 DLC levels I wanted purely because the cost to add them was ridiculous.

I enjoy the game but these practices need calling out. I didn’t realise how bad it was when I purchased it. The whole marketing for this game is awful as well, it’s the first game I’ve needed a user made guide to show me which version to purchase.
Honestly in many aspects the old games are far superior anyway. So many awesome levels. Strongly recommended checking out Blood Money Reprisal on iOS and Android as well.
What set is this from?

Thanks for sharing, I didn’t actually know the source and will check them out now :)

I just searched “flaming skeleton” on DuckDuckGo images and picked my favourite
Oh yeah it is a bit like those scenes! As if you just reminded me of that anime lol.
Hideyoshi, and the way there were treated, was far from the most tasteful portrayal of a gender non conforming character but helped my egg to crack for sure!

Thanks but sadly not my OC. I agree it’s a fantastic image but don’t want to take credit for what isn’t mine
My favourite anime is “Haven’t you Heard? I’m Sakamoto!” - Great comedy but also decent story with likeable characters who grow through the plot. I think it might fit what you said you like. No fight scenes.
