“here’s a video guide”
no, fuck that, give me written documentation that I can search through and that can be easily updated

Queens of the Stone Age would count except for Josh Homme

It’s super fun but yeah, pricy lol. My combat fit is basically “big drone Proteus with links” and it makes really good bait - lost my last one to a Tholos/Sentinel combo because I forgot about the breacher pod DoT after I escaped twice, the last tick hit like a fraction of a second before my reps cycled

oh yeah it’s not hard to hit 1B in the Draugur by just going “well, it could be a liiiiiitle faster with this upgrade, and then it could be tankier, an extra few km on the warp disruptor would be nice…”

I’ve got it rigged up so I can swap between 2 fits - a fleet fit with remote reps and a 1600mm plate, and a solo roaming fit that’s 100mn active rep. I also have an expanded probe fit that is kind of hilarious for hunting/suspect baiting in HS (and you can do something similar with the Draugur too)

I’m a relatively new player (started late 2023) but I’m having a blast, they’re introducing new content pretty regularly (the Odysseus exploration command ship is really fun, and I’m actually the #1 loser of them in the game right now lol) and there’s still a slow trickle of new players joining.

First of all, most democrats aren’t leftists. Second, every group has hypocrites, but the republicans/conservatives have made all the discrimination a matter of policy pretty consistently.

You’ve kind of got to go out of your way to get “griefed” tbh, I largely fly solo and short of the occasional unexpected gatecamp or gank (the latter means you were doing something too risky in something expensive and somebody did the math) the biggest issue is in finding decent matchups that don’t end in a cyno dropping 20 redeemers on you

Goddamn just come play EVE, we have crime, pretty ships, and hilarity

What a cool bit of gaming history
you gotta sear the pineapple first, then you get the nice flavorful stuff and it’s not all wet

Has he tried not being an almost 100% negative influence on the world?

I want to play that one so bad

Lord Huron’s Vide Noir is a significant departure from the rest of their work so far, and I really wish they’d do more in that style

As a wormholer, watching it unfold from afar has been kinda hilarious

This is incredibly niche but in the Blue Planet mod for Freespace 2 you’re on the losing side of a war for the whole campaign - your elite unit pulls off a bunch of small-scale clutch victories but overall things are not looking good. Near the end of the campaign there’s an elaborate series of missions involving disabling a bunch of hostile ships, intercepting and manipulating distress comms, and otherwise setting up a trap for the opposite faction’s command ship, the Carthage (culminating in a mission called, appropriately, “Delenda Est”). All the setup missions go smoothly, as does the first springing of the trap, but then
a counter-trap is sprung as soon as your forces are fully committed - another fleet’s flagship and elite escorts who are supposed to be somewhere else warp in at murder range and start absolutely obliterating your people. The absolute dread as you realize almost nobody is getting out alive sticks with me.
Edit: found a video for the voice-acted version

CRANE WIVES SPOTTED IN THE WILD but thankfully most of their work is at least as good

The gameplay is fun, but the story is kinda nonsensical and the antagonist names are just dumb (ah yes, Red the Red and Blue the Blue!)
ngl that’s exactly the response I was going for
