Officially named Pussyhats, they were first worn symbolically at the 2017 US Women’s March in Washington DC. Created by Krista Suh and Jayna Zweiman (who met at an LA knitting club), the hat was made in direct response to grab em by the pussy remark from tdump. The original idea was for marchers to knit, sew, or crochet hats to create a visual statement —a sea of pink. “If everyone at the march wears a pink hat, the crowd will be a sea of pink, showing that we stand together, united,” reads the introduction to the knitting pattern on the Pussyhat Project website. Yes it’s a reality and their advice is honestly solid. Here’s some maps/statistics showing gun violence in the US in 2024 from the gun violence archives.. If you look at their dropdown menu, there’s a tab specifically for seeing just the last 72 hours that is currently 10 pages long. If you’re looking for reasoning on how that environment comes to be, you might have a read of Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.. You can find free pdf versions with a quick internet search. There’s also a second book called Parable of the Talents.

It will likely scare them the first time as it’s new/unfamiliar, but they’ll begin to normalize it with repeated events (as long as there is no physical/situational aggressiveness toward them). Once they acclimate to the singing, they might still get a small jump scare if you begin abruptly belting out something, but as you continue the song they would likely relax back down recognizing it as not a danger. I find most pets will try to hide/runaway when they don’t like a sound, so indifference from a pet is akin to general acceptance of your presence imo.

They don’t care about the homeless so they don’t care that those poor people will still be homeless somewhere else. The rich just no longer have to see the unhoused -out of sight out of mind- as they say. Then since they’re now out of mind, they don’t have to fix or offer viable solutions for homelessness. The rich hope those poor people die as they’re deemed morally terrible people who are there directly because of their own failings. Plus it makes more slave labor available for today’s private prisons across the nation.

She talks about laughing on some podcast but I can’t remember which one. Anyway, she said that most comics don’t really haha/laugh out loud at great jokes, but will simply say that’s a great joke with approval. So being the host on tv she is having to train herself to laugh at loud at things. The show is scripted and the footage cut up post filming so some people/contestants are funnier but they couldn’t air it or their words were tempered by the writers/editors. Also had a great sense of relief when mine was taken out. That wonderful absence of that particular pain was exquisite! There was other pains instead, but those pains had things that improved their symptoms while the gallbladder pain was otherwise untouchable by meds. My gallbladder had 3% working rate before it was removed.

It does kinda create the illusion of soapy bubble filled white water. If you change thinking about the ‘white water’ section to actually be the see through part in between clear round water droplets (the ‘bubbles’) that are clinging to the side of the container.

It’s most likely someone recently poured some water out of it from the spout at the bottom and what water is left on the sides from the former water line slowly makes its way down to the new water level.

According to the lyrics, they aren’t exclusively complaining, they’re telling “good stories” about their not-so-great experience which is a different thing. Also, they never tried to be a ‘good guest’ at parties, merely that they were found to be ‘interesting at parties’ because of their ‘good stories’.

That said, I really wish they didn’t repeat lyrics so much and instead told more of those “good stories” they keep boasting about.
