The edge of the continent curls over, everything gets dragged into the elemental garbage disposal of grinding rock and lava. Cities, cars, forests, buildings, everything. It takes a couple million years. But ya, everything gets digested. I think they call it the subduction zone.

Also, someday we will invent nanotrees. Plant them on ancient landfills. Bear fruit of pure iron, aluminum, gold. There is wealth there.

To be fair copyright is a disease. But then so is billionaires, capitalism, business, etc.

I mean, if there’s a war, and you shoot somebody, does that make you bad?

Yes and no.

There’s this book. Sequel to Wrinkle in Time i think. Where this kid brings up the subject of mitochondria in class. Gets pummeled for it.

I believe it.

Replace “number of basketball passes” with the dozen really important things that we all must pay attention to as adult members of our modern society.

Replace “moonwalking bear” with the various species of ghost, elf, pixie, fairy, spirit and little people reported in ancient literature.

In stage magic they call it “misdirection”. I suspect that it comprises the backbone of our reality.

When you ignore a thing it disappears. Like, you stop seeing it. It disappears from your reality.

Paying attention / ignoring can become a habit.

And habits are basically invisible. So if you had a bunch of attention-controlling habits, slicing and dicing your reality like this, you’d never know it.

In all probability this is the case.

So there could be a thousand elves and ghosts dancing around and you’d never know it.

I’m taking it the wrong way.

You’ve got a guy who can see better. Deeper or clearer or whatever. The seeing is key here.

And the seeing can be improved and cultivated. So you see even deeper and clearer.

One of the first things seen is beauty. A really good look at beauty. So good that it can be used as a guide.

When you use beauty as your guide when manipulating a medium like music or drawing or words or whatever, you get beautiful results and people call you an artist.

When you take that seeing further, you see other things, and gain the ability to do other things. “Magic” and such.

Well-spokenness does not equate to truthiness.

Or, God chose this genetic line to rule. A prince is literally homo-superior. Everybody else is small, cold and slimy, relatively speaking.

Very few of us do their own research.

The vast majority cite authority as basis for their opinions.

Authoritarianism is natural and ubiquitous.

That’s the first counterargument on my mind too.

Wear a big roll. It promises hot action forthcoming.

You can carry a bigger roll if you hang it from your neck .

Me too. It’s called drafts. First draft, second draft, etc. It’s only natural that you will find bugs, think of better ways to say stuff, realize stuff. It’s organic and proper.
