Right, what’s ‘Dutch’?
Right, what’s ‘Dutch’?
Oh wow, I obviously didn’t read the article. Shame on me. Had no idea they had that few on staff.
Interesting to hear about Brook’s Law. Thanks!
From what I’ve read about their Daily Active Users they’re going to be overstaffed soon. No hate but they exploded and when things settle they might not need as much staff. Thoughts?
Sad, he probably would’ve broken 2 hours.
Well they lost both engines. Hopefully that’s what they focus on in the investigation.
Nobody, “It’s just a prank bro!”.
Am I the only one who thinks ‘terminates’ isn’t the best synonym for fired with this employer?
I can’t be certain by I’d wager that’s Hollywoodism seeping through. Either the podcast is wrong or the dispatch/officer on duty has it wrong. The first 48 hours are the most vital in finding a missing person, they would not want to waste half of that as procedure.
Edit: I don’t want you to just believe some rando online. Here’s some sources:
https://www.findlaw.com/legalblogs/criminal-defense/5-things-to-know-about-missing-persons-reports/
The federal law on missing persons: https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?req=(title:34 section:40501 edition:prelim)

This edit isn’t me trying to prove I’m right, more to just accurately educate. Hope the information is never needed!!
This is hilarious.
Name them, they need their SOP redone. I have never heard of this in real life and I would bet it’s a bad officer/dispatcher following Hollywood rules rather than their unit policy.
Not comparing, we have our own issues, but the US just said not wearing a mask in public is akin to not paying taxes or speeding - it’s still illegal and not free speech because it affects others.
I mean it’s the best thing for police Hollywood has ever done. The inverse is wait 24 hours to file a missing person report.
No good point, I appreciate discussions!
I think they know if it didn’t exempt city residents there would be enough backlash from eligible voters it wouldn’t pass. Seeing as it’s a fine and not a ban it can have secondary effects of improving safety and the environment but primarily it will raise money.
Well they also exempt taxis and city residents so it’s not about safety or the environment it’s about the money.
I’m just having trouble picturing how the spacer works without ripping the waffle apart when removed. Is it like a rod? Cause I’m picturing a ping pong paddle type spacer but that wouldn’t pull out, or are the waffle top and bottom not cooked together?
Yeah but tell me more about this stuffed waffle maker. I have never heard of these and as I type I realize I sound like the shill part two… still curious though, does it make like a waffle sandwich?
Yeah, and the assessed value is compared to the other assessed value of homes in the taxable area and that’s how they divide the tax revenue from the value of the house. So if a whole area is in feeefall and loses (or gains) 50% value equally then the taxes would be approximately the same. Every house dropping value and the city government isn’t going to just accept half the budget from property taxes that year, they just reassess and recalculate amounts owed.
So when house prices more than doubled during COVID did their tax revenue increase or did they readjust the % to match the new values?
First thought as well 😂
