I usually use magic earth and i really like it. I’ve been trying organic maps because it was in the fdroid store but i’m not really a fan of the user interface. It’s only been a few days and i think i need to mess with it more to get used to it, but magic earth was great at finding places and navigating and the user interface was pretty intuitive.
Throw a couple more words in there and you might have a coherent sentence.
Yeah that’s definitely my bad, it looks like the trackers are actually from web sites that are loaded in the browser internal to the app. I edited my original comment so people know. Thanks for not adding trackers by the way! The app is really nice and easy to use.
EDIT: The dev replied below and said there aren’t any trackers in the app. It looks like the trackers are actually from web sites that are loaded in the browser internal to the app. I changed the setting to load web pages in an external browser and the tracking notifications from the Connect app went away, so it looks like my original comment below is incorrect and Connect doesn’t have any trackers. The trackers I was picking up were from web sites with trackers being loaded in Connect. It looks like the app is fine and you should definitely use it. It’s super easy to use and looks good.
The duck duck go app tracker firewall thing their browser comes with stops trackers coming from Connect. It’s a bummer cuz I like the app but I’ve been using a web browser more and more to access lemmy.
In America, influence means money. If you can’t donate to a politician, you don’t have influence. That’s just how America works. You can’t build influence without wealth. As someome who has been involved with them, protests and marches don’t really cause a stir here any more, people just don’t care and it doesn’t really influence anything. You can get influence through violence, but people aren’t ready for that conversation and the right already has a head start on that anyway.
Damn, turns out all I needed to know I learned in cub scouts
These are more rules than a purpose, but do you think these rules are guiding you to a specific purpose?
Please, please don’t make people use the sarcasm /s symbol here. That garbage can stay on reddit.
Apparently the family that owns Chick fil a also bought a movie studio in 2022 in Atlanta and they filmed some marvel stuff there. So it might make a little bit of sense?
I actually prefer a mostly text web. If the trade off for ditching JavaScript is not getting hovering pop ups, I’m fine with that. I think that while JavaScript can help with usability, it’s main use right now is being a pain in the ass. Images and video are useful, don’t get me wrong, and that will always be the most popular “use” of the internet, but most of the time I just want to go on the Internet and read cool shit without fifty different corporations trying to fuck me over with the promise of “enhanced usability”. Like a link has to have some floating bullshit for me to click it. Absolute madness.
Yep, you can. I did it that way for about a month before i got a debrid account. The selection isn’t as great since some torrents are dead and since you’re torrenting you’re at the mercy of the seeders. Also you should be using a VPN while you stream so you don’t get a whiny email from your ISP. But i had no trouble watching popular stuff without a db account.
You absolutely don’t have to stay at the bank you have a mortgage through. My checking/savings, auto loan and mortgage are all at different banks.
If they were made with hemp grown in compliance with the 2018 farm bill, they should be federally legal. Places ship hemp derived gummies across state lines all the time.
Most definitions of social media are some form of “sharing content for the purpose of socializing in a public manner”. I wouldn’t think having a real life identity linked to your account would be a requirement for a social network. Why wouldn’t reddit, lemmy, or even an old school forum be considered social media? You’re sharing and discussing content on a community platform. I dunno, just something I’ve been thinking about recently as I’m using lemmy more.
Give it 6 more months of Trump and Russia will look like a paradise compared the the US.
