That doesn’t seem fun at all. I listen to what I like, independent of genre and just respect people that have different tastes than me. Except gatekeepers, get outta here with that snobby attitude.

They’ll just circle blow until someone comes and the person that lasts the longest is the new leader. Pure meritocracy
Lmao no company is checking lemmy and can connect it to your ID
How did you get that from the meme?

7·3 months agoYou mean this one has failed in America. There are still many democratic countries in the world with healthy institutions. You’re not the world, America.

2·4 months agoIt depends on the use case. For incremental changes and validation of hypotheses in an uncertain or new product Agile is great. It allows for fast valuation and fast pivoting. I would not recommend Agile for systems that are mostly known and need a big upgrade, that’s not what its for.
Agile became a buzzword and shouldn’t have been implemented as widespread as it has. It does have its use cases though.

1·4 months agoYes, but most companies have such bad data management that it probably gets lost or overwritten very soon.

1·4 months agoI think you overestimate the efficacy of the vast majority of IT systems. My wife worked on a thumb print scanner and they never store more than a day’s worth of data before getting overwritten because why would you.

Technology@lemmy.world•Perplexity offers to buy Google Chrome for $34.5 billionEnglish
3·4 months agoI did some checking around on the web and it seems that the partnership is a standard API license where Perplexity provides the technical infrastructure and Truth Social makes requests to there. The AI does contradict Trump regularly according to the Washington post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2025/08/10/truth-social-trump-ai-chatbot-perplexity/
So I’m not sure if this is massively wrong. Or at least, not as bad as I thought it would be.

8·4 months agoGoshdarnit, and I was really enjoying perplexity and its relatively low hallucinations and good sourcing of information.
Yup, there seems to be misinformation there. Even perplexity gets it wrong, but does say there’s some inconsistency between websites.
I installed MX on an old Acer tablet/laptop Hybrid. It’s one of the few that would run due to its 32bit bootloader but 64bit system. It works fine, but I wasn’t blown away either.

It doesn’t start with sex, it starts with a kiss or a touch. You can also just make it literal and tell the person you’re attracted to them. That’s what usually worked for me, communication is key.
