i like the fourth pabel. it shows someone loudly proclaiming the status-quo establishment line, being shown to be embarassingly, catastrophically wrong, and rather than changing their ways, their worldview, or owning up to their mistake, they change subject, deflect, and get defensive. i think that’s a well-observed comic panel

i agree that this sounds nice, my one quibble would be with regards to citizenship. i fear in trying to discriminate against tourists, you’d actually be penalising vulnerable marginalised people who don’t have citizenship in their own country. if the goal is to reduce car use, i think some tourists getting a free ride is worth it

this video shows that I’m a mark for videos exposing that a creator of a famous adaptation doesn’t understand the work they’re adapting. Lola Sebastian has a clear love for the original musical that shines through, and a contagious contempt for this version, whilst not just bring a dunkfest. by the end of the video i felt i had a richer understanding of musical theatre and appreciation for the medium.

I’ve enjoyed Tintin before, so i had an interest going in, but i found this a poignant, thoughtful and moving evaluation of the legacy of Hergé. the script and delivery are anything but dry, and the production is cosy. give this one a watch!
