I have installed all of those Sims games at one point. It works fine. Mods work without any problems as well.
Lutris will help you for the most part.
I think for Sims 3, I specifically had to use Lutris 7.2 as the runner (IIRC, I have to check again). It didn’t work with other versions. I will verify this when I’m home.
I did the most setup for Sims 3 (there is a whole guide for performance). I don’t remember details too well, but it’s still set up I think, so you can go ahaed and ask questions

I’d be worried a bit about the Nvidia GPU. But since I have no experience with them, someone else should give you advice on this.

Still use rofi, because too lazy to configure something else. (My scripts are heavily based on adi1090x/rofi).
I took my polybar config and made waybar look pretty much the same.
Not sure what you mean by “shell” exactly.

Aso, an so eine extreme Situation hab ich beim lesen nicht gedacht.
Von mir ausgehend… (shell-scripts mal ausgelassen)
Mehr als einmal nötig, zu machen:
- .desktop Datei für ein Programm erstellt, dass ich über Wine laufen lasse.
- .ssh/known_hosts (falls ein Computer neu aufgesetzt wurde und ssh deshalb die Verbindung verweigert.)
- MangoHud cfg (Optionen für Frame Limits hinzufügen, die GOverlay mir nicht bietet, z.B 72 (=144/2))
Set and forget:
- .zshrc
- Retroarch advancedconfig (möchte den eingebauten Updater verwenden, anstatt packages)
- mimeinfo.cache (Directories wurden im falschen Programm geöffnet - warte, das gehört ev. zum letzten Punkt…)
- SysRQ aktivieren
- pacman.conf (farbausgabe im Terminal aktivieren)
- erfolglos probiert, ein plasma Theme außerhalb KDE plasma zu verwenden
Selbst schuld:
- sämtliche Software im Rahmen von i3/sway
Einschätzung:
1-2 Punkte sind abhängig von meiner persönlichen Präferenz, 1-3 Sachen würd ein normaler User wollen (von was für einer Person gehen wir aus, verwendet diese ssh?), der Großteil der Punkte erleichtert mein Leben deutlich.

If the game is not a Steam exclusive, you can get some help from Lutris-scripts, and if the game is a bit older, maybe even winehq appdb. Otherwise, ProtonDB (if the game doesn’t run but the recent reviews say to just hit play, look for older reviews).
Most of the time, the issue will be .NET or vcrun (Majorgeeks AIO is easier than winetricks IMO)
Barely had issues wich FG yet. She even has instructions for Linux. Limit to 2GB RAM works almost always.
