How about using it on your own people? There are enough recipients of all kind who could use help but won’t get any or enough.
Why waste it on Ukraine? So they can prolong sending money back to us on arms-deals, killing the remaining Ukrainians that haven’t already fled to here, and ultimately loose the war anyway? It just seems so futile…
Direct war with Russia would be far worse for the German population. It is much cheaper to fight a proxy war via Ukraine and try to avoid war themselves.
Also, they are ramping up their own defense capabilities so a lot of this money will presumably flow back to German companies, and therefore German jobs.
In my simple logic is some one who aids someone fighting against me, also my enemy. Fighting by proxy is still fighting. Though I don’t know why we even should.
And yeah the cynicism of cash flowing back wasn’t lost on me…
The money wouldn’t have been spent on our own people in the first place. That’s not the type of party in charge.
