I mean, all government sponsored sources are going to be biased. No media should be trusted wholesale
Both countries have their issues, but certainly Xi Jinping is more trustworthy than Donald Trump.
that is a very high bar, as they say in the limbo biz.
Who told you not to trust anything China says?
My inherent distrust of authorities?
Do you also distrust climate scientists? Doctors? I think you should hold healthy skepticism for claims, but to outright distrust anything China says just because they have a state is overkill.
Let’s start with: governments are untrustworthy being made of people
So who told you china is trustworthy?
So who told you china is trustworthy?
The Chinese people. Non-anecdotal evidence, from an anglo source:
- In contrast to low US political approval ratings, 96% of Chinese are satisfied with the national government (Edelmans 2016). World Values Surveys says that 83% think the country is run for their benefit rather than for the benefit of special groups. A Harvard research center study of long-term public opinion survey finds that > 95% of Chinese citizens approved their government. How is this possible in a one-party state? (TED talk by Eric X Li)
- The real wage (IE the wage adjusted for the prices you pay) has gone up 4x in the past 25 years, more than any other country. This is staggering considering it’s the most populous country on the planet. The US real wage by comparison is lower in 2019 than it was in 1973.
- CGTN documentary - China’s war on poverty
These all sound good for the Chinese as a people, my question was about the government being trustworthy in what it tells people.
1st and 3rd links seem potentially good, the wage increase…you must know that’s a terrible comparison.
only one of the governments is run by a bunch of pedophiles being blackmailed by mossad
A stopped clock is right twice a day. America has a terrible and corrupt government, but that doesn’t mean they’re wrong about not trusting china’s government.
And how did you determine that?
US told them
“Gonna need to see a source from a white country before I’ll believe anything positive about China, the DPRK, Venezuela, Cuba. If it ain’t white, it ain’t right.”
- Average anglophone media enjoyer
Is it just the US saying not to trust the Chinese government?
The US and our lackeys, yes
But don’t you define lackeys as being people who also say china isn’t trustworthy? Ie it’s a circular logic you seem to got there, based on past ml experiences.
It would only be circular if their agreement on China was the sole indication of their subservience to US interests, that is not the case
what are some of the other indicators?
US military bases
Who are those lackeys?
Ask the Chinese government what happened 3 June 1989.
You haven’t
Tell us, what happened?
Was that the Kent State Massacre?

Everybody Sucks Here. I experience it first hand on a daily basis.
He said he doesn’t trust both the US and China, he never says someone told him anything. I’m thinking false dilemma?
