On top of that, funny enough, he found over the course of the war that he agreed more with the more radical left position of the Spanish Anarchists over the POUM. Not that he broke with the POUM over that realization or anything, he just noted that it was amusing.

I have been really into the music by Irish singer Christy Moore lately, and his song about the Spanish Civil War is a good one.
Wow, I’ve only ever seen head shots of Orwell. I had no idea he was that tall. I don’t remember him mentioning it in any writings but maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention! Literally a head above the rest.
