Do you have a ton of bookmarks like me?

I find normal people just Google everything and click the top result. They’ve never even bookmarked a page.

But for those of us who love the human internet (not corpo-net, as id refer to web 3.0 being), html pages and webrings, theyre often not even searchable any more because of enshittification of search engines.

Are there other ways besides bookmarks ?

bookmarks for sure, but for websites I find most valuable, I keep a local txt doc with the links, because sometimes I tend to forget about my bookmarks, since there are so many, and basic folder categories are too messy for me.

I have started downloading full html site rips for pages that I like. I’ve actually started creating my own basic html pages, because why connect to the net when you can just reference a locally stored copy, and you can customize the pages to your liking too!

Just a few bookmarks. I realise that as time goes on and the internet gets worse, there are only so many websites I am accessing now.

And also I could probably just get an offline copy of some of them. I should just get books really…

I like notebooks like OneNote, Obsidian, etc for this purpose. I can keep things organized, broswer plugins to send direct to the notebook and even save a PDF or screenshot of the page if I want to.
