I was thinking about energy management app for solar and battery storage. I live in Poland and I just installed solar panels with energy storage system. But default settings are very limited. I want to predict my future production, consumption, when to charge battery storage, when to discharge…

Another one is advanced calculator which show how profitable PV system can be. I know there is official app from eu parliament, but it has very limited settings…
For the first thing, check out home assistant. They have at least some functionality already in place for local production and a ton of options ton consume the energy. Expanding that would pretty quickly spread out to wide audience. No idea how strict the devs are on pull requests/development, but that’s where I’d start if I was going to build something energy production/consumption related.
