European Union member states removed a ban on imports of raw, unprocessed Russian sable fur, incorporating the change into a new sanctions package against Russia agreed on July 23, according to Euractiv.
Cool, I’m sure the sables are thrilled to be tortured and killed again in higher numbers.
Why?
It’s definitely because many non-disgustingly-rich EU citizens are clamoring for it.
Why do you need FUR in GREECE and ITALY of all the countries in the EU? 🙄
Winter is coming
They’re famously mountainous countries. Not that I agree with using animal fur for warmth, but it’s not like you can’t be cold in Italy.
Also, in Greece, there is a giant pubic wig factory that needs them.
That has be near top of list of the things that should not ever be allowed to import, let alone from a sanctioned country.
