The greater awareness of this before russia inevitably tries it, the more this backfires on russia. If everyone knows this is coming than it becomes some weird violent admission by russia that Ukrainian drones are better and no fight between enemies of russia occurs.
What kind of a people do they think we are? Is it possible that they think we are as stupid and gullible as they are? If we see a drone coming from russia, but it looks like a Ukrainian one, do they think we’ll go “oh no! Ukraine is attacking us!” and declare war on Ukraine or something? What a genius plan, fucking imbeciles.
Thats the problem with their constant bullshit and shenanigans. Nobody will believe them about anything. Ukraine could launch a thousand of their own drones from Kyiv, Zelensky could record himself typing in the coordinates for Berlin and hitting the launch button, I’d still think it was a russian operation.
Makes sense. Ukraine diverting precious resources to attack an ally.
Doesn’t matter because it’s propaganda that’s meant to make people angry. If anything it’s better if the story doesn’t make too much sense because it lets folks fill in the gaps with whatever works for them.
Does that count a perfidy, in a war crimes sense? It seems like it would but I don’t want to make baseless accusations.
Geneva Convention, Protocol I, Article 39.2:
It is prohibited to make use of the flags or military emblems, insignia or uniforms of adverse Parties while engaging in attacks or in order to shield, favour, protect or impede military operations.
So yes, I believe that would actually cover it.
