Just saw this disclaimer on an ad.

  1. Thats just weird.
  2. That makes me not want to buy your product.
  3. I’m surprised there was a disclaimer. Is there a law in the US making them admit this? Because that would surprise me too.

I noticed that when watching broadcast TV.

The kicker was, the disclaimer was not displayed until the last 2 seconds of the commercial. Sneaky sneaky.

Have you seen the booking.com ads? They’re literally about people in crappy desk jobs dreaming about going to some beautiful paradise location, and the location is AI generated. Think about it. People are dreaming about going to a fake place in the ad because the actual earth isn’t exciting enough? WTF 😵‍💫

One of those late night skin cream commercials used to be a Rocky Horror-esque scene in my house. Much to our dismay, the last time it came on, we saw the telltale AI face reacting to a bottle on a table. A skin cream, the whole point ‘showing’ the miraculous results and they generate fake people playing with the bottle.

Can’t even watch it ironically anymore.
