        In germany you can actually lose your drivers license for riding a bike drunk (iirc upwards of 1.5 promil)

        Once that happened your free to go, but likely liable if you’re involved in an accident

          In Virginia it’s the same but at or above 0.08% (0.8 promil). It’s also an automatic license suspension if you refuse to take a breath test.

        But I don’t want a driving license. Also just looked it up and interestingly while it can be illegal its not like it is in a car. In a car there is a specific blood alcohol limit and that doesn’t exist for cycling. They need to show you are unfit to ride. So I guess if you are not swerving all over the place.

        Then again, they would provably use the same test result if they did test you. I wonder if you can just refuse to provide a sample… Its illegal not to with a car, but unsure if that still applies with a bike.
