Usually you can just take a test to get the degree. And the person above is right that it’s faster if you just study for it yourself.
So much exhausting bureaucratic organisational downtime in college between ladles of info, perchance you’re fit for it when they pour it, compared to just freely swimming in the ocean of information.
It takes some kind of self motivation, be that curiosity, dedication, purpose or something else.
Then it’s not just faster, it’s broader, deeper and further, than narrow metric matching of industrial “educations”'s specialisation’s maximal-ignorance-bar-one; than is sought in employment roles that simply seek a degree. [Which I’m given to understand is increasingly the type of adaptive polymathy sought in many endeavours.]
Also then there’s the perspectives that value education above mere preparation for employment roles.
Hmm, I don’t fully agree.
I teach myself most things, which means I know a little about a lot of things. But it’s more specific and less general.
If I take a course, I tend to learn more completely the parts I’d otherwise skip just to achieve the task at hand
lol no, not here at least.
university degrees are like 99% self studying at this point anyway so it doesn’t make anything any faster if you learn the same things, you just lack an important piece of paper
