The Democratic National Committee on Wednesday sued Donald Trump’s administration for recent television advertisements that promoted his political message while costing taxpayers millions of dollars.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, alleges that the ads are illegal government-sponsored propaganda and accuses Trump of personally directing them. It asks the court to declare the ads illegal and stop the use of federal funds to pay for them.

Trump has faced bipartisan backlash for the ads, which glorify him and echo his campaign pitch as voters cast early ballots with the midterm elections less than a month away.

Maybe we should abolish the presidency. Whole branch, just remove it.

Congress can appoint a commander in chief and an executor for things that need it with clear and easy removal processes. Executive government functioning should avoid being political whenever possible. Politics should require deliberation. The people shouldn’t be electing directly a single point of failure that can launch nukes.

The Supreme Court can double check if congress isn’t violating the updated constitution, but it should never be allowed to make defacto laws from the bench. If there is no law on something they should be forced to submit it to congress to vote on before a ruling is made. It can only be a recommendation.

If we want no kings we need to really move away from having approximate kings. We need an even more distributed system with even better ways for the people at large to influence changes and congress is the only body we have that is a more representative sample of the people.

The Supreme Court are currently mini kings and the executive we have learned is actually a kingship in disguise, and these things need to be modified substantially.

Looking forward to the 6-3 SCOTUS ruling saying public money can be used for partisan ads because the Constitution doesn’t explicitly say it can’t

And how would they stop him? Even if they tell him he can’t, they can’t enforce it. And nearly all Republicans in Congress have turned a blind eye to his shenanigans so far. The fact that they haven’t impeached him yet means that they are fine with this. I don’t give a shit what they actually say. Actions matter more than words.

The courts have stopped them many dozens of times at this point and it can happen again. It’s one thing to doom when something bad happens, but it’s very annoying when people doom in advance. That’s exactly what the GOP wants us to do.

A good saying I heard recently is that voting for a candidate is like picking a bus route. It won’t usually take you exactly where you want to go, so you pick the one that gets you closest.

Not only have Republicans refused to impeach him but Democrats have also blocked impeachment proceedings at least twice this term.

Gonna give it 6 months till we have an official propaganda department. It’ll probably be called the “Departmant of Truth” or something.

More wasted money, add it to the pile wasted on vanity projects, destruction, lawsuits, and to other wealthy creeps in on his grift. It has to be more wasted than his last time and anyone else. Rather than use tax revenue to help and improve ACA or anything that helps real people, voters chose this and all the money wasted to put people in concentration camps, and more wealthy getting rich off human suffering paid with our taxes. Hmm options, spend taxes to feed all students vs spend taxes to hurt immigrants and local economies. Usa chose the latter one way or another twice which shows the real values. Do better and stop falling for the propaganda.

Why is everyone sucking Kamilas dick lately?

I probably shouldn’t have said that so crudely but I’m serious… Why is everyone saying this lately… It’s like I keep seeing the same very similar comment for the past two weeks. Why now? Why is it happening at the same time too?

I’m asking because it’s odd and it noticably stuck out to me… It’s just bizarre. Not trying to be political.
