Neuromancer by William Gibson contains some similar themes.
Am I to believe, as God’s own truth, that the sea’s abominable and wriggling fish stuck tongue from mouth and licked this bread?

Hello friend, us Belters need the OPA to protect our rights, you know?

The “cooking blog” style where a simple answer to a simple question has to be padded with eight paragraphs of garbage. Like, I just want to know how to put a comment in a YAML file. I don’t need a table of contents for this, I don’t need to hear a brief history of how the comment was invented, just tell me the character to type.

Edit: I successfully booted a Debian kernel using this tutorial, though I wrote the init program in C++ instead of Go. The process is pretty much the same, but you have to add the
-staticflag to g++ since the C runtime is not included in the initramfs. This might be obvious to more seasoned programmers but it took me a minute to figure it out.
