I hate how everyone mispronounces the word. We say Peed-iatrician not ped-iatrician so it is not peh-dophile but peed-ophile.

For someone who walks by foot, they are called peh-destrians, not Pee-destrians.

Of course, when you teach pedestrians they can step in front of 2 tons of steel because they magically have the right of way or, teaching people to walk facing traffic then of course there will be more accidents. Facing traffic is particularly dangerous because typically a car pulling out to the right (here in the USA) will be yielding to their left and won’t see a pedestrian walking in front of them. Likewise, pedestrians facing traffic tend to walk on the road instead of the shoulder because eye contact gives them confidence they don’t deserve.

I hate cats. Every year when my neighbor snowbirds for three months I take her two monsters in. At night I would line up about forty empty plastic soda bottles on the table, counter and shelves. Every morning, they were all on the floor. It was our thing. I also like to watch TV on the floor and one of them would always climb onto my chest, nose to nose. Okay, I secretly enjoyed them but I’d never admit that. Never.

My church food pantry used to serve about 200 families a month. This past year we have risen to over 900 families per month. We used to service three counties but reduced it down to one and we have reduced our days from five to three days per week. We can’t get enough food and regularly run out. The only plus is that my community is primarily MAGA and they got what they voted for.
