I’m in IT. I get cold called by VAR trying to sell me HPE here and there. I tell them straight up I won’t buy HP cause of their business practices.

I’m not sure. I have fast internet at home. And 60gigs of 5g data. And don’t really go places.

I know at one point the town I live in put public free wifi down the main strip. But beyond that no clue. Don’t even know if it’s still there.

So a bit cheaper but speeds sound more or less on par. Do you have to deal with ports being blocked?

A friend got a killer deal on 3gbit/3gbit for 65. I do wonder what his after costs will be like. It was new customer BS.

Buddy of mine was in Romania, he had a killer deal on his internet. Not 8 euro killer but I think it was like 20, But we couldn’t play alot of games together the lag was just to bad :(

Maybe. But it’s all over the place on the west coast. Even the small towns got it before the bigger ones. One of the ISP has laid down fibre everywhere. And not like to the curb, to the house. Or in my case apt.

I’m gigabit both directions and I could get as high as 3. I’ve heard they are testing 5 some areas. My 1gbit is around 90 of Canadian money. It’s fibre to my apt.

I used ResEdit to fix an issue with my school’s email system.

Someone used a Hypercard stack I made to “break” a computer, It got me banned from the school computers. Same school even.

I have this issue with my stove top, which burner goes to with nob/diagram. Does the picture line flat or flip over. I only every end up using the one with both high and low cause it’s easy to tell which it is.

Valve is currently working on some tech to let x86 games work on arm64.

My current phone is an F5. One of my worst Android experiences has been this phone before I put a different ROM. Never would buy another one without being able to unlock the bootloader.

Funny enough they do. Before Dark Reader on Firefox on Android I had a Chrome flag that did the same thing. But Dark Reader does a better job IMO.

Here’s the best part to that. Safari’s back end is called WebKit. At one point in time it was considered best in class. It was also the backend for Chrome as well for awhile.

When VARs call me if they do HP I tell them no. I won’t work with anything HP.

I totally bought a Palm off eBay few months ago. It’s been fun to use Palm OS 5 again. I got a model that actually has WiFi, which was also interesting to set up a AP that was compatible with it.

One I got had a dead battery, ordered a new one, it was so much nicer to open the old tech and replace the battery. Just screw and little solder. No glue and impossible small stuff to work with.

It’s too late now. If it has Sony on it I ain’t buying.

Actually there were update still cause the games were only little less broken. It’s updates were so much harder for everyone. Hosting them, finding them, knowing there were updates, having to apply updates in specific orders.

Steam has been a good send for that.
