On iPhone/iOS you can download content blockers to have adblocking on it(Limited to Safari only); Personally I use Adguard Pro.
I think I’ve seen some people use a VPN/DNS to have systemwide blocking but I’ve not looked into that personally as my router supports it.
I use Collabora Office as my Office Suite, again on iOS; LibreOffice on my computers.
If they can make money off you, they will.
If they wanted to read on a phone/Normal display, they wouldn’t have asked for recommendations.
I just wear proper fitting underwear.

Personally I just run a ThinkCentre mini pc with Fedora. Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad; Sorted. Not as convenient as a remote but don’t need to fiddle with stuff.

I did none of those things, I shopped just like normal and all the services I use on my devices worked like normal. Zero impact for me.
I use Handbrake or MakeMKV depending on the disc. MakeMKV I mostly use for Bluray, Sometimes the odd DVD doesn’t work correctly with Handbrake.
In Handbrake, I just select the Quality and keep original Audio source, I’ve not needed to change any of settings.
If you use MakeMKV, Its “raw” so large file size (Some Bluray files I’ve had are like 40GB), You can run that file through Handbrake to reduce it.
They use it because the general public don’t care what Elon/X is doing, They just want to see posts and they can still do that.

For adblocking, You can get Content blockers from the app store that you enable in the settings, Personally I use Adguard Pro. I’ve also got an Extension that makes websites Dark mode called ‘Noir’, You can adjust settings global/per site if they dont look good.
Extensions/Content blockers are limited to Safari (to my knowledge).

I like all consoles in general and have had most modern ones up til Xbox One S and PS4.
