I would CREAM over a Larian Mass Effect

I would CREAM over a Larian Mass Effect

I can only hope that they sell off Mass Effect to a better company, but I wont get my hopes up
Must’ve had a Freudian slip because I swear that title said “Perfect size for butts”
Runs amazing on Kubuntu for me. The only issue I had was the mouse leaving the game to my other monitor. A steam launcher command fixed it pretty easily though!

Trump be like:

Some of these are absolutely hilarious

Caddy is extremely easy to set up for reverse proxies! I have Caddy reverse proxy my headscale server and it’s been a dream. Literally three lines of config per proxy.

Seconding Beszel, it’s dead simple to install, and add systems to. I love the sleek interface, and the ability to send notifications to a slew of services (like ntfy)
I’ve honestly never tried it, since I have the only node in my home network serve the local subnet. It allowed me to statically assign IPs at home and still use them outside of the house. I suppose there’s nothing stopping you from using the overlay network, especially if you have all devices involved on the Tailscale network, but I didn’t feel like doing that :)
Something that might help with using Tailscale and reverse proxying: you don’t have to use the IPs given to you through the tailnet if you don’t want to. Something tailnet nodes can do is serve the local subnet theyre connected to, even if you’re running the self hosted version Headscale, which is what I do. This is how I am able to have my phone and one other pc connected through Headscale/Tailscale, but still access everything on my local network.
Im assuming your Jellyfin is on your local network, and you want to connect to it through Tailscale, but still use HTTPS? If that’s the case, you don’t need to do any kind of port forwarding on your router, as everything is funneled through Tailscale anyway.

I switched from windows 10 to Kubuntu a few months ago, and I’ve loved the freedom so far! Gaming has mostly been a non-issue, except for the 1 or 2 that won’t work due to anticheat nonsense. I have a debloated windows instance that I keep on a separate drive, and I’ve booted that POS maybe 2 times so far.
I got curious and tried Linux Mint and OpenSUSE, but ended back with Kubuntu because I prefer KDE Plasma and im most familiar with Ubuntu.
Be careful though, once you fall into the rabbit hole you’ll start doing things like run your own music server (like navidrome), and hosting your own photo storage server (I’ve tried both Immich and Photoprism).

And is a life without cheese and butter really worth living?
Shit you got me there, milk it is!
Same! It decided ‘fuck em all’ and just downloaded all my music locally. It took some time to find a decent music player, but ended up with Musicolet, it’s a fantastic local music player. The way I see it, I’ve paid for Spotify for years, so I don’t feel bad about downloading all the music I had on there. Any new music I want I’ll just straight up buy myself.

This is why Microsoft is making it damn near impossible to set up a new computer without logging into a Microsoft account. Luckily the OOBE trick still works (for now).

Hell I switched to Linux specifically because I refused to get W11. I do have to agree with you though, the average gamer probably won’t switch to Linux unfortunately.

Looks like I’ll be using both then lol, thanks for the input!

Oh I didn’t know you could buy music from Qobuz, is it a better system than bandcamp? I’ve never used either so Im at the perfect time to find a good one.

Not that im aware of, sorry. There is a Windows based spotidown software, but no Linux. Spotidown is a web based service normally, so you could definitely use it in Linux. I actually downloaded all my music from it using my phone!

I do! I go to concerts and buy merch from the artists I listen to, which gives them exponentially more money than the fractions of a penny Spotify gives them. I’ve paid for Spotify long enough to justify downloading the music I had saved, any future music I want I’ll just purchase from Bandcamp or something similar.
One of us, one of us, one of us
For real though, find a distro that looks cool, and give it a whirl. A lot of distros have a live boot option that lets you try it out before installing. Ive tried a few myself, but I keep going back to Kubuntu. I might try bazzite soon, havent given that one a go yet!
