Actually I’m wondering why this case isn’t thrown out because the dumb bumbling justice department tainted it. Why even try to find a jury anyways?

He just doesn’t want the reminder that he too could very well be there one day if he doesn’t meet whatever unrealistic criteria his job demands.
They miss the point of podcasting, which is to A) Have a subject you’re unfathomably passionate and knowledgeable about and B) Be interesting.
If one or both are lacking, you’ll never make it.

Because they’d come here, try to locate their niche communities only to find that either none of them exist or that they do, but they are ghost towns. I find it insensitive for anyone to tell another to “make the community you want to make” while being tone deaf to the fact that while the numbers are seemingly there, the activity doesn’t match it.
Lemmy and the Fediverse only seem to care about politics, technology, programming, linux, games and memes.

Not really that impressed with that lineup. Yogscast has some poor curation.

Most of the voters who vote Republican are usually rural. They’re the people out in the middle of bumfuck no where, with their farms, their farm animals and what little family they have. And all that they can afford are things like dial-up internet. So they’re completely out of touch with more ‘civilized’ people who’re in towns and cities.
And even so, there are people who are completely nuanced and naive to what is before them even with better access to information. They can’t and won’t challenge their intellect, they won’t question information as to what’s infront of them. Nothing. Just deliberately clueless and oblivious.

If they’re saying something I already agree with or I already know, I kind of see that as just rubbing salt in the wound so I hate them even more.
Because the worst people I knew, always told me shit I already know about so it isn’t anything surprisingly or insightful. It was just more babbling from them.
I do support the basics of Libertarianism, but I can’t support the extreme-versions of it left or right sides.

Sugar is bad for you.
Drinking sodas and energy drinks is bad for you.
Ultra-processed foods is bad for you.
Smoking is bad for you.
Alcohol is bad for you.
so on and so on.

“GOT 'EM!” they thought.

The credit score system is one of the most bullshit systems ever created.
The only way you can increase it, is paying off loans and very few bills. It’s also easier to lose points than gain them. It took me 3 and a half years to pay off a $5k loan just to see my credit score get back to 714. Once it was paid off and of course I signed a new lease, about a good half of that score went down so I’m back to slowly building it again.
It’s bullshit. And so many things rely on a good credit score. Whether you’ll be approved for an apartment, whether you’ll get good rates on a car deal or whatever.

$1.99 to freshen your fruits and vegetables $4.99 to freeze your meats $0.99 to make ice cubes $1.99 to cool your drinks $11.99 to make water

What options do they really have?
Do you even know what kind of punishments a soldier would endure if they refuse orders? Quite a lot. You sign up with the military, you are signing your life over to them.

Well that also leads to the saying that you can’t force a horse to drink water but you can lead them to it. Which follows with play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
If anybody hasn’t learned from their failings by not taking sagely advice, then the blame is flat on them for the fuck up.

The only small businesses I care of is when it comes to lawyers, psychologists, doctors, car repair shops and other professions similar to them.
Call me a capitalist or whatever, but almost any other small business I go to shop in, their prices are absurd and somehow worse than the big-chain stores is. Their staff could either be some of the nicest people you meet, operated by a family or they can be the opposite where the family don’t know what the hell they’re doing and they try ripping you off and getting involved in their drama.

I assume assholes, all the time.
I have only slammed my door a handful of times in gaps of time but that’s only because something or someone has really pissed me off to get there. I normally don’t like slamming things.

Now what has America ever done about presidents and administrative staff when they become war criminals?
…Nothing.
Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfield got to die peacefully, never accounting for their war crimes.

Shut up, Hilary, you loser.

Shovel Knight was responsible for kicking off the second renaissance wave of indie games, as Cave Story was the first wave. It’s quite a bit saddening that they’ve put themselves in this corner.
Envious of the people with good metabolisms who can practically eat everything in one day and gain maybe…1 pound.
Feels like anything I eat I’m going to gain like 10 pounds despite how light it was.
