If AI makes you afraid for your job you should be doubly afraid because if current AI can replace your job then your job isn’t actually a real job it was only ever temporary

There are tons of jobs that won’t be touched by AI for decades. I won’t see AI hurt jobs in my field for at least 40+ years. Rather than fixating on slowing AI we should be encouraging people to develop real skills a very simple robot cannot do. Humans will be building houses for the rest of the lives of everyone currently alive today

The people with this sentiment are largely jaded women who skipped kids and have to cope themselves and the next generation into sharing their spinster misery. It’s a tale as old as time lol. It’s this very weird phenomenon specifically with women to want to spread their misery to other women. It’s a hyper competitive behavior that seems to peak in their 40s/50s

I for one think it’s pretty bad ass that humans are able to build sophisticated enough tools to replace “brain” jobs. Not sure how AI is a humanity bad moment unless you are someone with a make-believe job being replaced by AI

Idk how often you go on Reddit but it’s extremely common there mostly in the locality subs. Like daily posts in just the few cities/states I’ve lived in so presumably happening across most of these subs so that’s not inventing something to make it sound worse it’s literally just happening in plain sight

I also get weird looks in professional zooms with my signed copy of Morning Glory Milking farm in the background
