5·3 months agoTheir acolytes have been doing everything in their power to split themselves off from the rest of the country, and this sort of call to try to come together with them is basically a call to throw ourselves into their country-sized log splitter. They’re splitting and hating and killing regardless of what their targets do to appease or not aside from full on conversion into their cult, and they’ve designed their cult such that it’s impossible for vast swaths of people to join with long term safety just based on their physical traits.

I have no idea how big or growing they are, but if I did and stated evidence here I would be doing them a massive disservice. Even right wingers don’t talk openly of their plans for violence despite nearly having a free pass in comparison. Are you just trying to get people banned or something?
How did this arrow targeting 40 year old German people strike me so squarely and true despite being separated by half a world, a language, and the internet hardly existing at the time
the circles of people organizing and making plans, and the people talking about it in random surveilled spaces form a venn diagram with no overlap. even as the circles of people present here and the people who are fighting in meaningful ways probably do have overlap

25·3 months agoI’m not sure if this is the right setting for technical discussion, but as a relative elder of computing I’d like to answer the question in the image earnestly. There’s a few factors squeezing the practicality out of this for almost all applications: processor architectures (like all of them these days) make operating on packed characters take more operations than 8 bit characters so there’s a speed tradeoff (especially considering cache and pipelining). Computers these days are built to handle extremely memory demanding video and 3d workloads and memory usage of text data is basically a blip in comparison. When it comes to actual storage and not in-memory representation, compression algorithms typically perform better than just packing each character into fewer bits. You’d need to be in a pretty specific niche for this technique to come in handy again, for better or for worse

3·3 months agoThere’s loads of people who want whole populations they “disagree” with to not receive care (or anything at all from society). The country is full of fascists who are only sated when others are crushed, it’s basically the whole reason we’ve fallen behind in so many objective measures

6·3 months agoI think this is all extremely variable from person to person and can’t really be generalized, including the libido thing. Transition brings unusually deep change, including to sexuality, but the way it plays out is extremely individual

9·3 months agoAll bodies contain the ability to differentiate into what we know as male and female, to varying degrees and in various mixtures. Transgender is just a medical variation in how this normally plays out and spans times and cultures, whereas these other things don’t really have a similar basis.

10·4 months agoBiology is super complex. If simply averaging the traits of the parents is how it worked one might expect every child to have a body in between male and female as well

Shape shifting (ghibli/Miyazaki style because why not), no aging, being able to eat as much as you want without it affecting your body would all be 💯. If we’re talking animal like qualities I’d basically want everything cats have. And wings.
