I sort by new to look for new communities that are active while lemmy grows. The purpose of the side bar is to let visitors, who potentially would want to engage with your community, what you’re about. Yours doesnt make any sense and you don’t seem to want anyone to understand so fuck you and I’ll just block your community. You must not have anything worth participating with is that’s how you engaged with new people.
I mean I’m pro-irrationalism, which in part means I think all considered thought and behaviour is and should be conceptually posterior to wildly lived action. It’s just that hissy-fitting and conducting a vote “brigade” is so done
Having rules about what the sidebar should say and how it should look like sounds like what a centralized system like Reddit would enforce, so I’m not sure I’m getting your point.
Anyway, I’m not a mod, I don’t care about Lemmy microdrama, this is just the place people went to when the sub was put into lockdown. So far the results of federation are neutral-to-negative in my opinion.
