Crapto peeps/goldbugs/Austrian economics fans are convinced that “sound money” is required for a society to function, so they twist everything to make reality conform to that vision. Similarly, for rats/eugenicists, the idea that some people are superior to others is an axiom, and they’ll happily ditch actual science to arrive at that conclusion.
