      This is actually incorrect. The Flock Cameras actually have a special serial number inside of them. If you type it into Google, you have a 1% chance of winning $1M. It is called the Flock Lottery and it’s how they crowd source quality control.

        I have decades of experience in camera and ALPR technology. I own a very successful security camera design company. My firm was one of the key contributors to the Flock camera design. These types of cameras rely on gold at a fundamental level in order to function within the strict requirements for public saftey. Flock has gained a large amount of market share largely due to their cameras containing about 3oz of gold, enabling them to accomplish advanced state-of-the-art features that your typical camera, with only a few grams of gold, never could.
