It’s true. He did. Only a few bars later he even predicted covid:

“No contact. And if you interact. Your life is on contract.”

I used to love limp bizkit, but then I learned English (I’m fucking serious here). Especially on Significant Other there’s some beautiful instrumentals but I can’t listen to them anymore when they’re immediately followed by gems like “it’s my ass, and your perfume, that make temptation hard to refuse”. Like, c’mon man, you knew English when you were writing this, there’s no excuse.

Fred Durst is is unfairly hated on for essentially no real reason, he’s a national treasure.

      Love you, Freddy D.

(He has gone out of his way in various contexts to set up bands and independent film makers with the necessarily resources and connections to make their art, say what you will about the guy’s behavior at times but he seems to genuinely want to help other creatives have a space to be given a chance to shine.)

(Yes I realize I’m low key stanning Fred Durst here)

I think the biggest mistake is taking limp bizkit seriously, they don’t even take themselves seriously

I saw Limp Bizkit and Cypress Hill at a free show around 2000. Everyone, EVERYONE was there for Cypress Hill. When LB played they were booed thoroughly. At one point, for some reason, Durst decided to crowd surf. He returned to the stage with no shoes and no hat, cursed at the crowd, and stormed offstage. After a few minutes of confusion “Hits From The Bong” started, Cypress Hill took the stage and started hitting an 8 foot bong, while performing. Order was restored.

I love Wes, but I don’t think any music he made outside of LB was good. Blacklight Burns, maybe. Big Dumb Face was an art pieces for sure.
